Interesting fact about horseshoe crabs: they aren't even crabs! They belong to the arthropod subphylum Chelicerata, which includes arachnids. They're more closely related to spiders than they are to crabs! They join their spider brethren as honorary crabs in my books

Some of the blood crabs do die, from the stress or something, but it's rare.

I ran into a horseshoe crab orgy on christmas eve of 2016, Was out on a boat with some friends after dark and we pulled onto a small Island in the gulf,. There were hundreds everywhere! They were good crabos.
