It won't bite him in the rear end probably because the intelligence community has "protect the republic above all" drilled into them to various degrees, but chances are they'll be (or have been) forced to decide whether helping him at some point by giving him information is more dangerous or less so. I think there was a article saying something to the effect of keeping a lot more info to themselves because he's liable to just tweet about it
