Coucho Marx posted:Most homeowners with mortgages couldn’t handle a minimum rate rise, survey finds there is no bubble! We are currently finalising buying a property. We understand it’s not necessarily a great investment move at this stage of the market, but from a lifestyle perspective it is. For this reason we are buying a house in an area we could reasonably live in for ten years if need be, and at a price where we have significant wiggle room if circumstances change regarding repayments. The amount of people described in that article who are hosed if any one of a big bunch of things happen is pretty horrific

Based on a national average mortgage of $371,700 drat. Mine is tiny compared to that. Glad I only borrowed what I could afford at 7.5% interest. Heh, who am I kidding. Glad I bought 6 years ago is what I meant to say.

As hosed as Australian politics can be, it's not as weird as right now where Roy Moores election night event has turned into two people sadly singing hymns on stage to a rapidly emptying room. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcJGM7htXr0&t=8468s

Coucho Marx posted:Most homeowners with mortgages couldn’t handle a minimum rate rise, survey finds I got into an argument with someone over sensitization of their land. I was asked to release their property as security for their loan. They sent me their financials so I could confirm they would be able to repay their loans when the interest rate increases. On paper they couldn't pay it now because their financials had deteriorated since we gave them the loan. They argued that we shouldn't sensitive their loans because "that's not real rates" Apra disagrees

Who knows what would have happened if Moore hadn't come out and said that America was better with slavery? The black vote prob wouldn't have been as strong, and the paedo might very well have won. The vote among people <44yo was 60% Jones compared to over 65s who were 60% Moore. Kill all olds etc
