Sometimes I tell my wife about Tomo and Jun. This morning I was explaining the flashback, etc. My wife commented: "Jun is pretty stupid, isn't he?" Even second hand and poorly described, Jun is stupid. I understand that doing a daily manga is probably pretty draining, but I really hate these hiatuses. I have also been reading the old daily Tomo chapters. It's still fun.

Everyone hates interruptions to the things they like, of course. But I would rather Oda take every fourth week off in exchange for improved One Piece, or Tomo taking a month off every six months if it means more great stretches like the Carol one or this flashback with Misuzu and Jun.

The way I see it, we're exchanging a one month hiatus for about 12-16 extra pages of cute romance fluff when the volumes come out, so it's not all that bad all things considered.
