Having said that, some of those two-post hoists have an issue if they're not locked in properly or not maintained properly that an arm can swing out while you've got a load on it. If you haven't noticed, and you start trying to do some work involving hauling on a part of the car to remove it, you can gently caress the balance up very quickly. edit: some OSHA content for the page snipe.
