I've been drawing faces and people pretty much exclusively, its the only thing that had really interested me. But recently I've been trying to branch out so i had a crack at drawing a spider. I'd never attempted one before but I had ab absolute blast, something about there legs are so drat fun. It was just a quick sketch but every stroke felt fun and different, it was an odd feeling.

Think i'm gonna draw a lot more insects.

Are these in-person models, or do you just pull from online sources?

The last five or so I posted were from pictures. A lot of the stuff like this I’ve posted earlier was from live models.

It actually didn't take me that long. I used a textured brush for most of it, which quickly created the effect I wanted. Then a smoother brush for detail here and there, but I tried not to go crazy refining everything. It was the cloth that absolutely killed me though.

Holy poo poo lmao

:eyepop: hells, this turned out fantastic! I was just the other day thinking "what the hell happened to the guy with the super workheavy posh portrait I hope he didn't give up "
My personal fave is how much more life you brought into the face with all the subtle reworking. Got his expression from tired and pensive to noble.

thank you.

Here's a sketch I just did from an instagram picture. Seeing it in small format makes me see a lot of proportion problems. Love this photo though, wanted to try to capture the weight of the baby, and how the his bottom smooshes a bit as he's weighing down her arm but I don't think I quite nailed it. Was fun to draw though. Look like I inadvertently babyfied the woman's face a bit too.

Aw, thanks. :) I really like his new expression too. Fixing his droopy eyes helped. It all came together after that.

Very very cool contour drawing. I think it's pretty accurate to the reference photo, and I did get a sense of weight from how you drew the baby's bottom. The only thing is his right cheek is a little too elongated. I didn't notice anything wrong with the woman's face until I read your post and compared it to the reference photo. It looks like you just gave her more of an upturned nose, which looks baby-like, but plenty of adults have them.
