Chris Neville has retired from broadcasting: https://twitter.com/chrisneville84/status/951187287941009408 Not that there's a shortage of people who could be pit reporters, but that's Mike Massaro and Chris Neville in two years. Neville was somewhat unique in NASCAR because he was a former driver.

A one year contract with a two year option? That's loving pathetic. That deal is so bad for NASCAR that you have to wonder how bad off they are in order to take it. Think about how bad it would be that after going 50+ years with Winston, and then about a decade with Nextel/Sprint, they only went one year with Monster. That would be honestly damaging to any brand, especially a brand as damaged as NASCAR. Maybe it's time to go without a title sponsor. Maybe that would free up some money for team sponsorship.

Bad enough that maybe it's time for Brian France to give up trying to compete with the NFL and just buy a team.
