F-Zero GX is the only racing game worth speedrunning, though. I think Blaster Master Zero might be interesting. If you like watching Batman teleport through walls everywhere then Arkham Asylum can be a fun run. I notice that there's already been some schedule slide. They've gotten started early with that.

My favorite GDQ memory is still the very first 4 way Super Metroid race with commentary provided by Sinister1 and Golden. Those mfers set the standard for how you call a race. They did their research ahead of time, both were familiar with all the tech, and they even did a practice run of their commentary ahead of time! And the runners performed beautifully too. It was cool that one of them died to show how difficult the run can be (he was pretty far behind anyways) and the dude in 2nd pulled off a newly discovered baby Metroid skip that very nearly put him back in the lead. When that happened I involuntarily clapped once really loud in a house full of sleeping people

hi chat thread, im gonna borrow you for a sec, even if i too like to have fun, because i'd like to take a minute to remind everyone to check their privates for bumps. i got diagnosed with hpv 16 related penile cancer in the foreskin, ie. a rare and aggressive form of cancer, in january of 2016, and while i'm 1 1/2 year out from the surgery+radiation+chemo that i got, i'm still dealing with the side effects. so cancer awareness and prevention is important and now back to your regularily scheduled chatposting.

The Skyrim run should be good, if only because Elder Scrolls speedruns are always hilarious bug-filled messes. I've never seen an Elder Scrolls run at a GDQ that wasn't hilarious.

Just a heads-up: If you're looking at the schedule and going "Where's TASbot?  ", the two TAS runs this year are donation incentives: Super Monkey Ball and a Super Dram World 2 playaround. Supposedly there'll also be some TAS-themed interview desk bits too, but that depends on tech stuff.TASbot probably won't show up at SGDQ, though, due to personal stuff on its operator's part.

livestreamer worked first try, woot since livestreamer just works from my config last summer what are the perks with switching to stream link? I like to watch things through Media Player Classic becauseI'm an old piece of poo poo who still uses winamp and saves 320kbps MP3s and violent fetish porn locally still.
