hey, I'm thinking about catching up on what I missed, so: is this FE run about just using the one over-leveled unit you get to blast through everyone, like every other FE run, or does interesting stuff happen?

i like the fe games that don't let you grind, theyre fun, just like advance wars if an srpg lets me grind i think that takes some of the challenge out of it

When I played Fire Emblem: Awakening I told myself I'd be strong and not reset when one of my characters died. My first death was that one guy who's whole gimmick is how forgettable he is. Then I replayed a mission and had a character die and thought "Nah, that's not fair, this is a sidequest," and redid it. After that I just started resetting whenever anyone died and slowly stopped making excuses for myself. In the end no one died. Except that one guy. Thank you for listening to my Fire Emblem story.
