The last job I had, some Orville Redenbacher-looking dickweed would just come by once a year and lie to me that the company didn't have any money for raises. Easy peasy. I have gotten a raise pretty much every year between 12-48 hundred, but either my bosses or I have no idea on how to measure my productivity because I have no idea what determines what raise I get.
