I think the worst part is he had two incentives for his chicken meme, going off of memory. "angering the chicken god" and the awful song. Most runners would just be glad their first incentive got met.

You know what, I prefer his overexcitement to the type of run where they just keep going "this game's so stupid... it really sucks... yeah what a great game (!)..." Ridiculing a game includes people. Deriding it just makes me wonder why they are playing at all, never mind why they were chosen to showcase. So good on him for clearly having fun and enjoying himself, good on him for not being negative. But if he could take it down a couple of notches that'd be grand too.
