I gotta say these past few weeks have been rough- the show is at a point now where just nothing matters and it lacks even the lunacy that made Russo's first trainwreck of a run fascinating. But I'm in it for New Blood Rising.

He was sent home in January 2000 because while his booking wasn't working and numbers were going down, he then tried to get Tank Abbott crowned as WCW champion after Jeff Jarrett got concussed by Jimmy Snuka on the build to Souled Out. (Which itself led to Benoit and others leaving or try ing to leave) Then he got brought back in April with Bischoff. Russo ended up dominating more of the booking. Bischoff and Russo didn't coexist well, and each basically left. Bischoff completely disappeared off of TV after Bash at the Beach. Russo took time off before then, but came back after being gone for a week or two and stayed on through October when they finally sent him home for good. (After he booked himself to win the title and got concussions)
