Imagine a dry graham cracker, with marshmallow on top and covered in chocolate. They're not very good, you're not missing anything. There are better options.

Moon Pies are OK. Better than Pop Tarts, not as good as real actual pastries. The graham cracker description is fairly accurate, except those crackers are soft, not crunchy. The main appeal is if you like the coating and also the marshmallow's aight. Banana is the best flavor.

That's my Moon Pie hot take.

They discontinued it as far as I know, it was my SOs favorite. And unfrosted strawberry is best, the frosting on those things is like biting into concrete.
