On second thought maybe thats why the game is so buggy they have references to sytem in the code everywhere.

I think it's in-game lazer pistol, real world tee shirt made by the lowest North Korean slave labor bidder. But hey, at least you get to vote on the design! And then pay a premium for the shirt! Plus 15 dollars shipping and handling! And sizes above XL cost extra!

And I can't wait to meet the concierge specialists. These are the people that get paid to make the whales feel special.

All the alpha ships are 100% insured, but you have to wait like half an hour to get one back it they blow up, which happens for random reasons.

The interesting thing is that this is what the backers want, they want to be punished in alpha for losing their ships to random bugs, because it helps test the "Insurance mechanics", which are extremely important. Now, get this, it's all *client-based*. It's just a stupid countdown in your own client that prevents you from clicking the button to get your ship back, that's the mechanic! all of it! You can switch servers and get your ship back instantly, you can spoof the "press the button" command and get the ship back instantly, you can mess your system time and get the ship back instantly. Still, the system is in the game so, therefore, it's good.

All Glory unto the Stimpire. Give up your arms and legs and embrace the beautiful agony of electricity that doubles in pain every second.

So the insurance system is basically the airlock that kills you by checking if you have a suit or not, but you can just confuse it by rubbing your butt over the button so fast that it assumes that it's a spacesuit.

Re Crytek suit, I presume Skadden can also opt not to reply to CIG´s defense if they consider there are slim chances of a dismissal, correct? The judge will be ultimately deciding on dismissing or not either way.
The motion to dismiss is basically one of the ways a defendant can reply to the complaint. If your complaint is solid (and Crytek's is) then there's no point in putting in extra work that is redundant at best; you'll be repeating yourself with material that's in the complaint.

This points to the difficulty of the motion in practice: you have to assume what the plaintiff says is true ("viewed in the light most favorable to the non-moving party") and claim that there's nothing there for the court to decide, either because it amounts to a legal hill of beans or because it's barred somehow. That burden falls strictly on the defendant since "I have a contract, it broke, I want moneys" is among the most primal of reasons why courts exist in the first place. Since the MtD doesn't actually seem to state why the complaint is fatally defective, uh, I think Crytek is safe.

Everything is a hack. Ships are not affected by gravity, you can hover butt-up in midair and do pirouettes like a ballerina on crack ... until the ship runs out of fuel, then suddenly gravity becomes functional and you drop, hit the planet, and then random things happen.

They even failed to address 2 of the 4 causes of action. And that alone all but guarantees that the judge is going to take one look, and toss the whole thing.

I have a stockpile of duplicate games due to Humble Monthly.

The Long Dark CLAIMED!
Sleeping Dogs
Tomb Raider (reboot)

I would like to give these out, with the rule that you MUST play them and do a 250 word field trip report about why they are better than Star Citizen within ONE WEEK of receiving the code, or toxx. If you're up to the task, post

quote:

I accept the challenge to explain why I think this free game is better than Star Citizen, I claim [[game name]]!!! If I fail to post my field trip report, :toxx:
and claim ONE game. First come, first served.

Note: 250 words is nothing. About 2x what I wrote here. Thread's getting stale, things need punching up a little.

You need PMs for me to send the steam codes.

E: to spice it up, the field trip needs a screenshot or two.

Well, you deserve it from not being careful about your ship! Entitled, pretend-gamers nowadays are too accustomed to zero consequences for their actions and I, for one, applaud what CIG is doing. That should teach a valuable lesson to those kids.

If they don't like it then they can pledge for more than one ship.
