If she had killed herself in relation to turning down a shoot, it would've been because it threatened her career and not because of a twitter squad. I dunno if you internet guys know much about the porn industry, but it's bad.

one thing i learned from twitter is that a lot of journos have a pathological need to be loved by everyone, leading to them being bowled over by anyone with even an ounce of charm. its like that guy who wrote a glowing profile about bannon despite the fact bannon tried to destroy his career. they lack any moral fiber and the ability to conciously direct their emotions so they end up fawning over absolute scum like steve bannon or mike cernovitch and like everything else its structural like its probably impossible to make it anywhere in news if you arent a supreme bootlicker

It's been a few days but I want to share that there were like... four Proud Boys at the Orlando Women's March over the weekend. They got kicked out by cops and just went to a different part of the park. One of them looked, like, 45 or 50 years old and the rest were kids. They kept getting harassed by local kids and one group tried to steal their flag. Just lol at these 4 dudes in their Proud Boy uniforms outnumbered thousands to one getting into shouting matches with old liberal ladies being the best the white race can muster. the reason journos are compelled to white wash nazis is because they have to play to the audience - presenting 'bad people on both sides' is a way to short circuit complaints of political bias, even if politically in america right now, it's the right that's clearly becoming more and more unhinged and violent, and there's no real mirror image on the left. the communists are gone, all you have are rose emoji social workers versus 4 times jailed criminals covered in nazi tattoes. white supremacists killed more people in terrorists attacks in the US than anyone else, by a wide margin. but if you present everything as is, dumb poo poo retirees phone in about how mean you're being to the nice young man that wants to murder all the jews, so you're always on the search for anything you can inflate on the left, to tip the scales

i don't think journalists are so naive. that certainly does happen. but i think a lot of times journalists get into a parasitic relationship with their sources, who they see (even if they don't realize it) as a resource to be exploited as raw material for their stories. and this can be mutually beneficial to both journalist and source, since the source is often exploiting the journalist to advance an agenda or sell a product, or sell themselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOUtFzeMhhA i post this hard-boiled scene of richard burton chewing the scenery from "the spy who came in from the cold" because i think it's basically true and that journalists are a lot like spies. and what le carre did was show cold war spies as seedy, grubby liars and not the glamorous james bond types that people thought they were. (before becoming a writer, le carre worked for MI6 stationed in germany, and his dad was a career conman, which is one reason why MI6 sniffed him out to recruit.) anyways during the cold war, intelligence agencies and the press were so interlinked it was hard to tell the difference. the CIA and KGB both had dozens of journalists on their payrolls. but the fact that they were so interlinked really says a lot about the nature of journalism.
