Leperflesh posted:Tons of my favorite comedy films have already been mentioned, so I'll just try to fill in a few gaps (forgive me if anyone already mentioned these, I skimmed): I caught Kingpin a few months ago. Its still funny, and another film Bill Murray steals with minimal screen time, leading to another recommendation: Zombieland.

It's really showing my millennial card if I put Scott Pilgrim in the mix, doesn't it. But top 5 for me are probably like Blues Brothers, Wayne's World, Spaceballs, Best in Show, and, I dunno, The Birdcage. Also, it coming out the same time as 9/11 really hosed up its release, but Big Trouble is pretty fun too.

Spaceballs was the beginning of the end for Mel Brooks. Robin Hood: Men In Tights felt more like a Abrams/Zucker film than a Mel Brooks one. Same with Dracula: Dead & Loving It.

The real crime of Christmas Vacation was that it was rated PG-13 so we didn’t get to see Mary the lingerie saleswoman/woman in Clarke’s dream naked.
