just got response from the billboard people. looks like weekly rate is $525 dollars for a spot. it's one sign on the biggest highway in my district. should i do a week or two worth of time before the primary or not drop that kind of cash this early? fwiw other candidates are spending similar amounts of money on regular small lawn signs. normally i would just jump directly into it but since y'all are my biggest source of funding i figured i should greenlight it first.

I've been told lawn signs do nothing except make existing supporters think you're doing stuff. I say do them, but don't invest much in them. An alternative is, if you know any small businesses that will support you, a lesser paper stock sign they can put in their front window.

lawn signs are bad. they are astonishingly expensive and do practically nothing for your campaign. nobody ever actually engages with a lawn sign. they are boring and leave no long term impression. and you can't fit any actual policy stuff on them at all.
