System: Light on rules; practically freeform Format: Multiplayer/multi-author CYOA Players: Unlimited Description: You are Winifred, a vampire hunter from the Whitegraves clan. It is your goal to enter Dracula's castle, find the bastard, and kill him before he regains his full power and enslaves the world. So far you've completed tasks 1 and 2 with flying colors. Task number 3, on the other hand... The twist to this CYOA is that there is no permanent GM. After each update there's a 24 hour voting period. Whoever casts the last vote before the voting period ends gets to progresses the story. The game continues until Dracula's castle has been (mostly) explored, after which we will put the bloodsucker back in his coffin for another 100 years.

Game: A 40k tactical game similar to Close Combat or Squad Leader. System: I, the referee, handle all rules and provide you an update and ask what you want to do next. The goal is to model, Grey Hunter style, the confusion and limited perspective of "real" combat compared to most games. You'll be playing one specific character, although all players are in command positions. Format: Email. If I'm keeping up with the game I can get out a 1-3 turns a week, but I had a long dry spell when the current semester began. It's currently at turn 9. I say currently because... Players: I need one replacement player. I'm running this game for 8 of my friends and one of them isn't really feeling it and we agreed it'd be better for everyone if we found another player. Description: This is a trial run to see if I can manage running a war game where I, the referee, am the only one who actually sees the entire game board and all mechanics are hidden from the player. I got the idea from some amazing games poster Grey Hunter ran a while back (maybe he still does, I don't keep up with stuff). The trial run is going well, and once I iron out game mechanics and a method of presentation that flows well I'm going to expand it into a more structured campaign. I only need one player right now, but if you're interested just shoot me a PM or email sturm68@gmail.com. All you need is an email connection and, I'd estimate, 5 to 20 minutes once or twice a week. You'd be taking over an existing player's role but since this game was through email I have every previous communication (set up, force out line, and all previous turns) and can send them. Equally if you're completely new, we'd love to have you and to explain I'll blatantly steal from the mafia wiki: Mafia is a party game that can be played in a group or online. The premise is that a group of townsfolk (town) (the good guys) try to discover and root out the Mafia (scum) menace hiding amongst them. The game has day and night phases: During the day everyone attempts to discover who the Mafia are and vote to eliminate them (execution). During the night discussion is halted and the Mafia choose someone to kill. The game ends when either the Mafia have control of the town or every Mafia member is dead. So yeah, if you're interested in trying something a little new, feel free to hit the thread up. Shouldn't be much delay to game start.

System newbies OK! The Game: Ahh, the Polaris! The very name conjures up ambition and jealousy in the eyes of other Rouge Traders. The flagship of a small Rouge Trader fleet, owned by the DeMarco family, it is a beacon showing the heights of individual accomplishment, something more precious and rare than a Saint's fingerbone in the grim darkness of the 41st millennia. It is unfortunate, then, that it seems to be a home for heretics. The Inquisition has discovered that there is an unsettling correlation between the travels of the Polaris and the activity of Tzeentch cults. If DeMarco wasn't so well-connected politically, this would be enough to destroy her, but more care must be taken with such a figure. Instead, a small, elite team is being sent. Cover identities have been made. You will have 18 weeks. 18 weeks to find the cult and pull it out by the roots, or – should DeMarco herself be implicated – To find evidence sufficient that only the most hidebound of nobles would begrudge the Inquisition her destruction. ------- The Purging of the Polaris is going to be a short Dark Heresy campaign; more than one session, but with the decided ending point of finishing the Inquisitor's duties aboard the Polaris. Characters will be experienced investigators, with more than the standard number of starting Experience points to spend. Please be aware this is not going to be a combat-centric game. Don't get me wrong, combat will happen; and it will probably be brutal and short. Description: Pick a country on the map of the world (as of 9/2/17)! You play a head of government (President, PM, dictator, Caudillo, etc). We're looking for a few good leaders! Other stuff to note: Countries taken are listed on the how to join page at this link. It's relatively authoritative, but we really do need 3 countries listed when you sign up. Makes it easier if your first choice was taken before we had a chance to update that page. Otherwise, if you're looking for "countries we really suggest" if you have no clue: Currently, we could really use a UK, Germany, and one of either Japan or South Korea. Game: Wrath and Glory System: FFG Deathwatch Format: roll20 Players: 1 - 2 Description: Wrath and Glory is a not exactly a typical Deathwatch game, and we've just come to the end of Part I. Instead of servants of the Inquisition, the game focuses on a small group of Astartes who are building a new Chapter to protect the newly reunified sub-sector of Aviaar. Normally, such guardianship would have been extended to a Chapter that was already at full fighting strength, but various factions and political forces have conspired to thrust the players into this fraught and somewhat delicate scenario. The player characters are responsible for the leadership (Chapter Master, Chief Apothecary, Chief Librarian, etc.) and creation of their Chapter, as well as protecting the sub-sector and guiding it politically back into the Imperium. The game has significant political elements, but don't worry, there's still plenty of time for sweet chainsword fights. In Part I, the Chapter butted heads with a revolutionary group and vanquished a daemon who had been menacing the sub-sector since the time of the Heresy. In the process they established themselves as heroes, put old ghosts to rest, and acquired a 'new' Battle Barge. The significant downtime between Part I and Part II will be a good time to bring in new characters, and we're in need of a Techmarine and Chief Librarian, so if this pitch sounds interesting to you, please reply!
