I've been getting spergy over the new bj mini because that's the quickest way to get dirt in that hmg barrel and have a misfire. loving Spaniards using fantasy poses on my sci fi anime miniature game.

At least the new Nexus has a cool standard pose.

Also speaking of Haris i was disappointed the Overdron couldn't link with Unidrons. When we learned it had a HMC i guess it is fair

Idk, I see a lot of spec-ops lists which turn the guy into either a specialist or a CoC piece, especially on the official forums.

Maybe it's just what the "meta" is but it really does seem to me that making a 'utility' spec-ops is much more useful and effective most of the time than turning them into a mean lean fighting machine.

One of my friends noticed that in the web Army builder, vanilla YJ has a Haris profile listed under Zhanying. We're both pretty certain that as described in the TeamPro listing and in generic army rules for Fireteam, that Duo is the only real option, so we were wondering if this was an Army fuckup (my personal opinion) or if vanilla YJ got a super special Haris.

Just who the hell do you think we are?

There are fireteam profiles listed all over the place that you can select, but the fireteam portion of the profile doesn't do anything in vanilla.

Army fuckup, haris profiles should only appear in sectorials. I'll check it and let V know.

Well, for example, Sekban have a Haris profile in QK that nevertheless doesn't display when you select vanilla Haqq. Hence why my friend initially assumed it was a special case and why we wanted to double check to make sure even though we both agreed it seemed weird after I brought up the TeamPro wording.

I'm assuming the Fireteam: Duo profiles also aren't supposed to show up, for, for instance, Wu Ming.

They are because Duo can be used in generic with an EVO Hacker running TeamPro.

^This.

The whole conversation in which I learned that the Zhanying Haris (erroneously as Pierzak confirmed) was included as a vanilla option, was about setting up an Asawira or Sekban duo for a vanilla Haqq list I'm considering.

Considering it takes 2 command tokens to do for only a duo it is pretty much never worth it, so no one really remembers.

I will say it is somewhat tempting in vanilla yu Jing though, a su Jian duo is absurd mobility.

Rebots first unless you have a good use for the EVO probot. No discussion of resulpts and they're unlikely to happen for awhile.

Local tourney runner seemed pretty despising of it, so I don't?

It seems like a link team with a lot of specialists would be the quick way, though the team would rapidly lose effectiveness since you'd be dropping the specialists. Just all the mines and forward deployed peeps on the enemy models to deny them.

Feels like I just got laid
Have two "fetchers" run for one or two targets and spend the rest of my orders stopping my opponent doing the same to me. Trying to secure several targets is far too order intensive imo.

That said, I've only played it once and I forced it upon my players in our tournament/campaign because it fit the story I made :v:

Seems like any mission that requires something more than 40mm objectives doesn't see much play. For example, anything using the objective room.

I swear I finished building the Cosmica Amroury, an mdf building from Warsenal which is very nice but complex to assemble, at exactly the same time they scrapped all those missions from ITS. I liked them dammit!

I scratch built a three level high ziggurath to match my jungle terrain. I even had plans (but couldn't finish on time) interior wall carvings that referenced the Alien vs Predator movies. This was two weeks before the new season where they dropped the objective room.

An excellent looking table man! I love seeing peoples' custom terrain, definitely a lot of advantages to having a personally unique set-up with so much straight-as-per-instructions MDF stuff around.

Also, your sort of designs avoid the so-called 'castle effect'. After hearing of this, I can't stop seeing it. It's how the little individual buildings with low walls all around the roofs create little fortresses - models can lie prone, or fall unconscious, and be essentially untouchable without a great expenditure of orders and/or speculative fire. It really strikes me how many games come down to this sort of thing.

Yeah, we try really hard to avoid having too many buildings with perimeter walls around the rooftops. They do make a useful reward for choosing deployment advantage at times.

Good luck with it. Whenever I put together a 5 MB list, I feel like I either end up lacking orders and with a really obvious Alguacile LT, or I don't have enough variety in the MB loadouts because I had to economize. This is also highly anecdotal, but I feel like whenever I run 5 MB, I either get crushed or do the crushing, and there's never any middle ground between those two points.

What I want to do with it sometime is run a bunch of repeaters, prolly from Transductors and Alguacile FOs, plus the Bandit KHD to keep the hackers off. Never been able to find the points for the requisite engineer + drone + bandit support group, sadly.

Playing in a small 200 pt tournament at one of our stores next weekend. Thinking of trying this list out

Imperial Service──────────────────────────────────────────────────10 4 CELESTIAL GUARD (Kuang Shi Control Device) Combi Rifle + Light Smoke Grenade Launcher / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 13) KUANG SHI Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) KUANG SHI Chain Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 5) KUANG SHI Chain Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 5) KUANG SHI Chain Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 5) ZHÀNYING (Fireteam: Haris, Sensor) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nimbus Grenades / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0.5 | 27) ZHÀNYING (Forward Observer) Breaker Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0 | 25) HSIEN HMG, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (2 | 61) CELESTIAL GUARD Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13) SOPHOTECT Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 31) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) 3 SWC | 199 PointsOpen in Infinity Army

My main concern is that it is a bit light on specialists, but I'm hoping the mobility of the forward observer in a fireteam and the high movement of the saphotect will help.

I always figured that was by design of the game, most of the Corvus Belli starter sets have buildings with their little walls.
