Also, Barny2 will one round your colossal, so you know, watch out for that. I watched him just gobble up a Helios last weekend.

I’ve found I haven’t needed it. -2/-4 to attack plus star crossed has been real good so far and sac pawn plus transfers means I’m relatively safe. I tried running a Bullsnapper last night and only ended up casting spiny growth once.

Going to CaptainCon this weekend to try to rekindle my love for wmh. Haven’t played in over a year, and very little overall since mk3. I’m a filthy casual and terrible at the game so I’ll be just playing Iron arena and funsies games. With those caveats here’s a list I’m looking at running and I’d love any feedback. I’m also toying with a version that replaces the Titans with a Mammoth, which seems rad. I was thinking of pickin up the amry box for a change of pace for my barebone Cryx starter box and the idea of gator dude that also have wrestlers really appeals. With the new toys we have you have a lot of room in the faction now. Gators have tough beasts that move incredibly fast up the table and come at odd angles to tear things up. We even have a fantastic gargantuan now! The Posse is the main melee unit that gets 8 boxes, Unyielding and Snacking to keep them in the fray. They don’t hit the hardest but with buffs can swing damage. They also have 3 prayers to help them buff themselves. We have ambushing fish men, fire chucking frog people as well shambling hordes of fish zombies Gator support solos are very strong, giving out Death Ride, passing corpses around, healing, giving out free spells and increasing control area. Combat solos have a bunch of tricks to disrupt enemy lines, strip buffs or just be a leaping murder lizard. The Sacral Vault is a fantastic battle engine that makes single wound infantry pay for daring to exist on the field. Eyeless Sight and Magic Weapon means nothing is safe from its boostable PS 13 gun. The two theme lists available allow for a lot of flexibility and combinations. Hope that helps.

It seems like a lot of extra work (you say induction but i think you mean tensor lattice), and landing beacon for a single die of damage

# ? Feb 1, 2018 19:58 |

In all my Orion games once the heavies are in combat, it's usually time to feat and not much survives. By then, tensor lattice is too important for either the TEP's targets or pushing someone out of a zone. Repo 3" is better than I had initially thought.

Repo 3" on convergence's great gun ranges and slow speed is a huge deal, for sure.

Warmachine faction. Doesn’t add a brand new mechanic like CoC or Grymkin did. Lots of ways to vary your actions ala Hutchuck or Gorman. The spoiled tanks are battle engines. 2 theme forces to be released at launch, which should be Lock n Load.

Alchemists and cortex manufacturers originally based in Llael. *Masters of Alchemical Warfare* "Classic" Warmachine faction with Warcasters and Warjacks. Expected to be available at Lock N Load 2018. Will go thru CID in April/May? After Khador CID. Limited release similar to CoC and Grymkin. "Modular" style faction. Most models have multiple alchemical effects that can be applied for different tactical needs. They will NOT have a new game mechanic. (e.g. induction node, arcana). The faction exemplifies the flexibility of models such as Gorman & Hutchuck. Can play a battle-engine heavy force if you wish. Possible to play only 8 models in a 75-pt list. Likely has 2 different battle engines. (unconfirmed) Lots of gas effects. Lots of Immunity:Fire & Immunity: Corrosion. Can apply many stacking debuffs similar to Cryx & Mercs. Faction benefits greatly from the ADR specialists rule. Crucible Guard gets 2 Theme forces on launch. --Spoiler-- Combat Alchemists (3-man unit of Gormans) has Immunities, Stealth and 14 DEF. Grenades probably RNG 6 POW 12 AOE 3, Ammo type: 1. "Blood of Urcaen", Magical, on critical hit spells/animi expire on model unit directly hit. 2. Ice Cage grenade (see Greylord Ternion), applies to all models in AoE on hit.

If I put lifebound on a unit (if destroyed by an enemy attack Gastone gets a soul) and then they get hit with an aoe, do I get souls? I've been playing no, because I'm sure blast damage doesn't count as an enemy attack, but I can't find that rule anywhere? Is this thinking just a mk2 holdover? Is it still the case? Thanks!

You're thibning of electro leaps etc. Blast dmg is 100% an enemy attack (unless its your own blast obviously)

Anyone have suggestions for expanding from the Cryx AIO 2017 box into a full 75 point list? I really don’t have a good grasp on the meta yet and just want to have a 75 point list so I can get into playing steamroller games at the local store. I picked up the Cryx army box (contains Asphyxious the Hellbringer, an Inflictor, a Seether, a Ripjaw, his pet-jack Cankerworm, a full unit of Bane Warriors with their attachment, and Darragh Wrath)and the Mk2 Cryx Battle box (contains Warwitch Deneghra, a Slayer, 2 Deathrippers and a Defiler.) I also have an additional Bane Warrior unit I picked up used from a friend. Not sure what the fastest route to a solid 75 point list is with this hodgepodge.

Double bane warriors and Darragh Wrathe already make the cornerstone of that list. If you're comfortable dropping a bunch of money on a wraith engine it's really strong with quite a few casters, otherwise just add banes to taste. I think Goreshade3 or the Witch Coven run the list a bit better but you'll never go wrong with Deneghra. Cryx Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Dark Host (Deneghra 1) Warwitch Deneghra [+26] - Deathripper [6] - Deathripper [6] - Ripjaw [7] - Slayer [10] Bane Lord Tartarus [0(6)] Darragh Wrathe [9] Machine Wraith [2] Bane Knights (min) [9] Bane Riders (max) [20] Bane Warriors (max) [16] - Bane Warrior Officer & Standard [0(5)] Bane Warriors (max) [16] - Bane Warrior Officer & Standard [0(5)]

Awesome, thanks dude. I’m ok with dropping some dosh on a decent model that also looks like it’ll be fun to paint, too. If I pick up a Wraith Engine should I just drop the Bane Warrior units in that list for it?

Drop the bane knights/machine wraith (since hopefully your wraith engine will make some for you). Something like: Cryx Army - 73 / 75 points [Theme] Dark Host (Coven 1) The Witch Coven of Garlghast [+26] - Deathripper [6] - Deathripper [6] - Ripjaw [7] - Slayer [10] Bane Lord Tartarus [0(6)] Darragh Wrathe [9] Bane Riders (max) [20] Bane Warriors (min) [10] - Bane Warrior Officer & Standard [0(5)] Bane Warriors (max) [16] - Bane Warrior Officer & Standard [0(5)] Wraith Engine [15] Is a good place to start. Maybe pick up a second unit of riders and adjust if you're really liking them. MetricUnit fucked around with this message at 04:54 on Feb 5, 2018 |

I'm not as much of a fan of the wraith engine in my usual dark host. I run it with Gaspy2, 2 units of warriors, riders, min knights, and Darragh. It's not the best list in the world but I think it is my favorite. Pairs well with all sorts of black industries builds. The coven double riders build definitely wants it though. I think the build is something like double riders, 2x min warriors, and the engine. Runs really well with shade2 also.
