You look like a real loony but it can be really useful to show your dog what you want them to do instead of trying to lure or shape it. Claudia Fugazza has sort of pioneered training dogs through social learning and you can see a bunch of videos using her "do as I do" methods on youtube.

He freaked out and threw his arm out towards her, sending her sailing across the room. It didn't help she was a black Maine Coon so all he saw was a massive shadow moving towards him. He felt like the world's biggest rear end in a top hat but she never went into his room. She never did after either. I miss my Ysabella. She was a pyro kitty. She used to sit and watch the flames flicker in the fireplace every time we had it going.
