They're also, like, the smallest ratchet straps you can buy, suitable for tying down motorcycles at most.

I had this happen on a TDI VW. It just sort of made a huge WHUMP. And a lot of white exhaust. :(

Don’t ever buy a CarMax extended warranty. Somehow they figured that a turbo exploding like that was my fault somehow and I was out $3500.

Did you fail to do some maintenance item? Third party warranties usually have some really strict maintenance requirements to keep the warranty.

The only thing CarMax really tried to press me on was their extended warranty. Glad I didn't take it. It took long enough to pay off the Saturd as it is.

Thankfully I haven't had any issues that would have been covered by the warranty anyway. AC crapped about a year ago, but I would have been long out of even the extended warranty by then. And I'm pretty sure the warranty specifically excluded
"vehicles used for commercial delivery" .

(also doesn't the whole "don't buy an extended warranty" apply to pretty much every extended warranty, unless it's offered by the manufacturer on a CPO car?)

My evening at the hangar was somewhat shorter than expected because I spent several hours of it on the side of the road. Friend had to bring me a spare distributor, mine seized solid very very suddenly. Anyone who says you can't weld steel to bronze is clearly wrong...

I could have AAAed it home but it would have taken about the same amount of time most likely. Now time to buy a distributor so I can give this borrowed one back.

This is a first for me. So exciting.
