No I mean her movie career blew up, but I worded it poorly so you can read causality into what I said implying that legion was the cause. Rather, I thought that she'd broken through into Hollywood mainstream.

Yeah Pratt's really the only one who's career exploded, and poor Asiz could have broken into comic auteurism if he wasn't a creep with the ladies.

Aziz wrote a book and got a couple million for two seasons of a popular Netflix show, even with his career in the dumpster he’ll never have to work again. He is simply not funny enough to get bigger than he already is, IMO. Chris Pratt pulling the Blade 3 Ryan Reynolds “You’re funny but chicks can’t crank it to your dad bod so here’s 10 million worth of personal training and curated meals for a year and now you are a hot slab of beef” is the secret happy ending of Parks & Rec

Aziz did break into comic auteurism and the creep thing was, what, a month ago? Considering how many people were defending him (and compared to some of the more extreme cases highlighted by the #MeToo movement) he’ll probably be fine. By the standards of people who mostly do standup he was a superstar after Parks and Rec.

The only main characters who didn't get a big boost from this were Retta, who deserves to be a lot more famous, and Jim O'Heir, who at least got a movie role out of it. Didn’t 30 Rock and Community have atrocious ratings? The better comparison is probably the Office, though I think the P&R cast do better than them too.

I didn't say the other cast members didn't get a boost to their careers. Pratt literally went from unremarkable sticoms prior to P&R to leading movie roles, which is why he's so noteworthy compared to the rest of them.

They all had terrible ratings but made stupid oodles of money on DvD sales because millennials don't loving sit down and watch TV when you tell us too, MOM! That's why P&R has a full blown finale and then also a whole additional victory lap season afterwards, they were like "You're cancelled" "ok, lets give our cast the fitting emotional ending it deserves" "Wait, we made 30 million off of DvDs and millions of moms are tuning in because of Pratt's 6-pack, we need another season." "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok?"

Oh I agree, but growing up in a post-social media environment means that he could literally be walking on stage to accept an award when a gay rights group retweets Bro-rape #RapeGlove and then the very real chance of backlash from nothing. Also during his infamous Live twitter meltdown from a hotel room he specifically mentions his fear of never growing past bro-rape

Finished. This show is loving amazing. Being a TVIV regular, I fear I am about to reignite a debate that's been hashed out and resulted in multiple probations, so I will phrase it as best I can. Is there a consensus on the existence of Lenny as a physical person? Was the sight of her in the wall an illusion by the Shadow King, or was she a person that existed whose memories were re-purposed for the Shadow King, or can the Shadow King take corporeal form? Again, I haven't read this thread, but if I had to guess I would say 31 out 35 pages are devoted to this. Also, I amend my previous statement that this is Wes Anderson's X-Men to this is if Wes Anderson and Darren Aronofsky teamed up to direct an X-Men show.

If I recall the general idea: Benny was real and David's friend before the asylum when they were getting high and such. Lenny was real and David's friend in the asylum. She actually died during Syd's freakout. The Shadow King took advantage of David's confusion and mental state and melded the two people into one in his memories so he would be reliant on the advice and guidance of a "long time friend". Shadow Lenny acted as a bridge between the parts of his adult life to basically consolidate his influence and control over David.
