The battle damaged Gundams were American exclusive. the guys at Bandai America were like, American kids only want the main character Gundams, we need more of those, but then Bandai Japan was like, you need to sell 500,000 Mandala Gundams and then stores were full of unsellable Mandala Gundams and refused to carry any more Gundam stuff, and Sunrise forced Cartoon Network to run the original Mobile Suit Gundam cartoon which flopped really badly and that was the end of Gundam in America in the 2010s.

Kingdom Hearts recently announced a Monsters Inc world, which means Sora gets a new monster design and the internet loves it:

Okay, that's pretty loving great. I've not really paid attention to kingdom hearts at all since...the first KH3 teaser like two decades ago, but if they're putting pixar stuff in, I'm sure if there's toy story and stuff there'll be some great designs in there. Probably sneak in something like a gundam toy or something too.

They already announced the Toy Story world a while ago. Sora gets a toy mech at some point!

MSG didn't just flop, something :911: made them pull it for a while and that took the wind out of its sails.

I still own like 90+% of the US-released Gundam toys because that's what 12 year old me cared about a whole lot. I guess I was the only one buying all those weird G Gundam figures. I'm also almost certainly the only person who bought the extra expensive and cheaply built mobile armor stuff.

Whatever the case, when the collapse of US Gundam hit, it marked the day possibly the best deals on model kits in history happened. Amazon, then a fledgling online store that had only fairly recently broken into non-book stuff, was liquidating all of the available Gundam model kits for insane prices. Master Grades for 5 dollars. Perfect Grades for 20. High Grades for 3. At the time I was a kid so I didn't have a lot of spendable cash, but I used what I had gotten from birthday gifts to grab basically one of everything, and a few extra Perfect Grades too. Wing Zero Custom PG, Char's Zaku PG, MG EZ-8, MG RX-79, MG Kaempher, MG GP-01 and GP-02, bunch of others, for like a hundred bucks total. poo poo was insane. I can't really remember another time I've seen deals as good as those for anything, really, that's like 90% off for most of them.

gently caress, I never knew about any of that. 12 year old me would've been in heaven. At least until I hosed up my thumb with a hobby knife while working on a PG Mk. II and stopped building kits altogether. :v:

a neat little music video with good spritework of yume nikki characters dancing to...the bonus stage music from battleblock theater
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMUEFZXkmDA&hd=1
Yotsuba is extremely good and cute, and has a really wonderfully relaxing atmosphere to it. It's also really neat how the art style has evolved from volume 1 to now

It went from often panels with no discernible backgrounds to pages jam-packed with details. It's the best single dad manga and everyone should read it.

My friend got me Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMix two years ago for Christmas and I picked myself up 2.5 ReMix shortly after intending to play them both. I'd played both before on PS2 but after the trailer for III dropped I'm only now playing the Final Mixes and all the side games I'd ignored. Actually I played a big chunk of Chain of Memories on GBA which was kind of fun. Still insane to me that they started the second main game off with literally no one having played CoM. That's my Kingdom Hearts story, it will be on the exam so study up

So there's a new tag going on with japanese artists where they depict teachers and students at different periods of time, usually when the teacher adopts a young student and then when the student has grow older. Being Japan, there's a mix of lewd, cute, weird, sad and cool things.

https://twitter.com/hashtag/%E9%AD%94%E5%A5%B3%E9%9B%86%E4%BC%9A%E3%81%A7%E4%BC%9A%E3%81%84%E3%81%BE%E3%81%97%E3%82%87%E3%81%86?src=hash

That said, is definitely worth a look if you don't mind navigating over hundreds and hundreds of tagged tweets.

These are just but a sample of what you can find at the tag.

And yeah, those accounts are perfectly safe.

Yeah, clicking that first link greeted me almost immediately with a witch girl being disemboweled and devoured by a panther, cool. The initial premise of the tag is good though.
