He went to the beach with them, I think, and might've been the guy to give them the idea. And I think he was the first person in the manga to tell Jun that he thought Tomo was attractive. He's been around, he's just never a primary focus. e: I got it wrong. Here he is asking Jun about whether or not he and Tomo have had sex.
