Realistically, how many more episodes do they have in them? Been at it for 12 years, 620 some odd episodes.

Patreon didn't start until the 500's, so they haven't really been making a living off the show until recently.

I don't think they'll get to 1000. They've been having some great shows this year but I feel as though they're slowly realizing just how long they've been doing this show. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they were able to make money off it, but I don't think it's enough to make them put up with it into their 50's.

Honestly, if there's any podcast I expect will actually go on until one of the hosts dies, it's UYD. It's the biggest thing in both of their lives, and going off the last dozen or so episodes it genuinely feels like they enjoy it more than ever.

(And without being too much of an over-reading podcast creep, just from the show it feels like they're closer as friends than they have been at different points in the past, which is really sweet.)

Just heard that one -- Lou Ferrigno congratulates him for catching a lost dog (I don't think it was his?). Somewhere in the front half of the 150s.

Related and close by -- Jah and his friends have a traffic vs. pedestrian altercation with a Corvette which leads to the cops busting a jewel thief.

He works, does the show, and watches a poo poo load of tv. Does he try dating at all? He's mentioned various women before but it's never "I went on a date and it went hilariously wrong."

Seth had a girlfriend a few years back, because people posted photos of them in this thread, and she was mentioned on the show a couple of times, but think they broke up.

The boys do have a subtle but fairly definite dividing line between stuff they do and don't talk about on the show though. Like, even Jonathan has been divorced, married and divorced during the run of the show and didn't really mention any of those until quite a bit later.

Don't get wrong, what he went through would absolutely blow and I feel for the guy. But I keep posting about him anytime I hear about his life because it was the first instance I can remember of a UYD story showing up in my actual life. My mom follows Michigan sports and when he signed on to the team she told me "hey did you hear about this new Michigan basketball player, he survived two plane crashes. Isn't that crazy?". Yeah mom, actually it is.

Late to the game but I just called the voicemail to say that I have had Dippin’ Dots. Went to the same college as the founder, so it was a big deal there.

Some prodding and poking going on between Seth and Jonathon in 335

I also don;t understand Jonathon's problem this episode, the whole checking out thing. I don't give half a poo poo about most of things that seem to bother him so who knows, maybe it's his depression? I really apprciated the commentary on the NBA all star game as a fan of the NBA. Couldn;t agree more about everything. Most of the stuff that gets broadcasted is existentially damaging (except for the actual quality of the game, because it was amazing for the first time in 20 years)

Do they whine about how the NBA used to be sooo much better again? He's prolly on point with the all star game but jah and Seth whining about "basketball these days!!!!" and yet so clearly not really watching much anyway is my least favorite recurring old man take thing.
I wonder if Seth ever ended up watching breaking bad lol

It's a transition from nba all star talent competition -> Fergie -> people used to actually be good at things -> awful old man Jonathon rant where he's wrong about everything and barely making a coherent point. I have a hard time listening to that dude complain about life sometimes, especially coming from where he does. 335 was pretty awful for stretches

This NBA all star game was so dope and promising that I'm still hyped a week later.
