Eh, took out a guy but also blew up all the loot. And only killed one guy. We still got ammo tho.

We spread out and catch some guys, but I gently caress up and leave some of our own dudes exposed. The most severely injured on this turn is our arch nemesis, the drapes.

We keep pushing but now I want to avoid blowing up large amounts of loot if we can, so we kinda just shoot and throw grenades. Use some psi. It's moderately effective, we accidentally blew up something big. Chaney actually shot thru the wall to get to combat, but it's not in the shot:

Yup. Infiltration I think counts all the guys in all their buildings that count as alien. So like a sicknasty egg or arthropod counts towards infiltration. But so do brainsucked people. We didn't get poo poo for loot. A handful of guns and ammo. No psiclones. Nobody got hurt and the shields worked really well, except much of the shield damage we got happened from our own explosions.

Poverty goat is now our most decorated soldier, but doesn't have the most kills.




Right. So I think we're mostly caught up vs infiltration. We could potentially do a sensovision mission.
you guys wanna do that? Time to fast forward, see how research ends up?

This is one of the reasons why I prefer to keep infiltration as low as possible, even with our enemies. I don't know of any way to combat brainsuckin' that happens outside of combat (the solution at that point is murder).

Depending on how things go there are events that could spiral this poo poo outta control.

IIRC there's entries in the game for a lot of weird equipment that's deactivated, stuff like:
Tracker Gun
Tracker Gun Clip
Multi Tracker
PSI Grenade
ForceWeb
Dimension Distabilizer Gun
Dimension Force Field
Alien Detector

But if you change the gamefiles to turn them back on they tend to glitch out / crash the game. A lot of that would probably have helped in the actual investigation aspect they wanted to do that is mostly removed and pared down to combat missions. There are some things that are in the game and do work but you can't buy them and can only get them through raids.

There were other rumors too, like there could be more than one city and all kinds of crap like that. Early screenshots had guys climbing and grappling up walls and poo poo, in fact I think some might have even been on the box but I lost that years ago.

You were supposed to be able to get a little popper action figure that I never did and am still a little bitter about.

Zorium - Listed on the game files. Most likely some sort of energy source.

some of those are probably reworked into stuff that you can actually get. The process to turn any of this on or off seems a little bit arcane.

this is gonna be anoter pita mission

HBar is able to check out almost all the first floor on the west side. There's a second floor on that half only, and there's a basement. We did a mission here earlier where a bunch of aliens escaped, that was the mission where Chill sat in the basement repeatedly electrocuting worms the whole time.

Because nobody can fly in S2, I have Cobra check out the gantry on the second floor. The east room is basically completely empty, at least above ground. Molo & 2 Hander, and Snot & Prince split off and head for the basement.

West side will be more complex. Fart & Chaney check the upper room. Superkid & Goat head to the basement & make contact with some chrysalises. Turning the corner:

Not sure what Snot's gonna do to get outta this one. The only thing he has that won't blow up the popper is a stun grenade. I could have him just stun himself but if it blows up nearby he's gonna get fuuuuucked uuuuup. There's no way to wake up sleeping guys, no way to cure their wounds except for just ending the mission. No one else has any time. He's on his own.

Yeah sometimes it sucks poo poo trying to figure out what the gently caress is happening. Thinking it would help. Also gonna try some different codecs or w/e to cut down on file size. ikanreed is basically killing all organic lifeforms every time bots go to or from any building.
We got a few alien guns and shields. Nothing else from that mission that matters.
There are no more stun grenades available on the market, so that sucks balls. Same with psi amps.

Not many changes, except our mission in Evonet didn't really work. Also Sensovision will need some kind of intervention at some point. Probably gonna have to hit the Cult again too.

finally, a real serious breakthrough. This thing looks like it's ready to gently caress up some UFOs, IMOs. One decent size weapon slot, but no equipment or people. No engines, so no fuel. Possibly better than what we have now, depending on what gun we socket in.

nah Snot we need at least 18 probes to be effective in the air also you'd have been fine you probably would have tanked it np as long as you weren't naked. You're not the highest HP guy we have but in the upper tier.
