I'd honestly be okay if she's essentially written out of the story now, granted this allows her the ability to make decisions and protect herself again. Naturally, Casca coming back and whooping rear end would be sick too but I just want this fictional character to be okay.

They restored her, but the trauma remains. They acknowledge that restoring her doesn't deal with the underlying trauma, and that it was exactly this trauma that broke her psyche in the first place.

While I should review before I make this statement, it occurs to me that all the pieces that make up dream Casca are memories leading to the moment when Guts is blinded, presumably to the conception of the child, with no reference to anything after. Will she even recognize Guts? Will he become a simpering fool trying to explain all he's done for her that she doesn't remember?...

The reptile nose is what gets me, but I suppose he usually draw her nose like that from a directly frontal perspective. Maybe when she fully opens her eyes and mouth it'll look a bit less uncanny...

It took a little bit longer than usual, but here's a good and legible version of chapter 354! EDIT: Just noticed it uses the first and not the second translation draft, it's being updated now. Super ultra spoiler: That heart, which 'a hex dwells within', looks alarmingly similar to the heart from the lost chapter. Not sure about it, but reacted to the way darkness flows in and out through its veins specifically. If there's something to it, then that is bad, bad news.

Well they're the same base shape, but other than that I don't see it. The chapter is 20 years old also, so a visual redesign wouldn't be out of the question. I don't think this image needs to be spoilered, but this thread likes pitchforks a bit much:  Next chapter is due late next month. Where's my time dilation device?

Holy poo poo it's happening, it's actually loving happening. I started reading the series right around the time Rickert set off for Falconia. Since then I've gone through 2 jobs and pretty much all of my college education. I honestly was not expecting this to happen until I was an old loving man.
