I don't know why anyone thought it was preordained that the Ravens would win (optimism is fine but I know people who are genuinely shocked by this). It felt like a classic Ravens let down game the whole week...a 6-9 team vs a 9-6 team who just got pushed by the loving colts last week, a division rival we always have problems with, "Marvin's last game against the team he won a super bowl with" for the emotional aspect...I thought we'd win because of being at home but that's offset by the 10 degrees outside, new years eve, team is boring af to watch anyway leading to the stadium being half full (correct me if I'm wrong but it looked that way on tv).

Well, now ehat Im hearing is we're keeping Morninwheg, and planning on promoting someone from within on defense. Wonderful. Harbaugh is finished. Just sad we have to have a lame year before we send him packing. Couldve maybe had Pagano and Kubiak. If those are your coordinators you can put me as head coach and we might win the Superbowl.

there's no way that they decided to keep lewis because he beat the ravens, right? that has to be just an excuse for mike brown to continue to be cheap

The "well it's not 100%" talk started quietly even before the Bengals knocked the Lions out of the playoffs but I'm sure that last game may have given Marvin an extra year ontop. everything is garbage and i'm happy so this will be fine

My boss who is a Bengals fan says the move is actually good because the owner is a cheap gently caress but Marvin is one of the few people in the planet who can actually get anything out of him while a new coach would probably get nothing and the team would do infinitely worse. He refers back to the last time Marvin wanted to leave and he asked for 4 things if he was to stay. Brown gave him 2 so that means Marvin is a genius.

Different circumstances. Not many would do what Lewis can with that ownership situation. The Ravens at least are committed to success, even if they are misguided about how to get there at the moment. They are fixated on the idea of continuity but dont realize that you have to have something worth keeping in the first place. Bill Belichick has been around a while cause hes good at what he does not the other way around.

Roethlisberger sucked about as much as I thought. Sadly, he'll be back next year and there's no way the Steelers keep the rest of that offense together and healthy long enough to see competent qb play. Hopefully it won't take too long after the 2020 rebuild to get competitive again.
