pospysyl posted:The fans don't want that, they want lesbian fanfiction, and if this comic exists to do anything, it's to give the fans what they want. There's two things the comment section for this comic want; every female character that doesn't snap dog necks to be a lesbian. And for every male character to secretly be that one professor guy who talks forever.

I guess it's different for women, being told they should shave it off, and she's deliberately bucking that expectation. yes armpit hair has different connotations for men and women, you webcomic person

Not from me, the only good episodes were the first two, everything else was an exercise in wasted potential, and medium to shoddy writing. I tried to follow the line of reasoning by which you'd come to a strong opinion either way about whether the imaginary self-image of some chick would really have armpit hair, and now I've got a nosebleed and everything's gray

Feral's name mystery was more suspenseful and meaningful to me than any of the patrick arc so far. When even our main character Clevin no longer cares about it, why should we as an audience care about it?

So the solution to Patrick's character arc is to paint him as irredeemably evil with no ambiguity? We're just going to set up this tragic backstory and then completely gloss over it because Allison is all upset that things don't go her way when she has no plan and just rushed into things hoping for the best. I'd argue that this is just her character reacting to failure and lots of stress, but I sincerely believe that Mulligan is just making a judgement on Patrick's character here and we're finally seeing the end of dragging this guy through the mud. I remember when Patrick was the voice of reason in getting Allison to not kill anyone at that hospital. I remember how he kept himself out of her personal affairs and respected her right to make a decision regarding Feral becoming a perpetual organ donor. I also remember how despite his background the guy was shown to be willing to open up to someone else and he was trying to "save the world" in his own way. How far we've come when nobody since this series started is closer to their goal or even realizing they can't accomplish their goal. Patrick could have been a good tool to show just how much a blind devotion to the ideal of "saving the world" could drive a person. He was still kidnapping people and orchestrating a conspiracy of his own to try and route out the threat he perceived. Instead of anything compelling we got wacky adventures of Lord Boy and Allison.

Allison barely knew Feral before she did the whole organ donor thing, didn't she? Feral just called her to tell her about the whole thing because she had a crush and Allison was the viewpoint character. All of Feral's old superhero comrades are either dead, missing, or in jail because they didn't have magic organs to use for a plea bargain after they murdered a few guys.

Yeah I forgot how little they actually knew each other before she just apparently moved in with Allison. They met once where Allison reluctantly worked alongside her, then went to a bar afterwards, then didn't see each other again for several years until the events in the hospital. Feral even stated then that several other friends to visit her that night at the hospital, one of them we see.
