Eh, we'll see. With the character thing this year I think CB likes to play a bit of hardball.

Personally I love it, it gives a much more alive sense to the world than, say, having your main units double in size over night but nothing else changes for 10,000 years.

What a fascinatingly unusual cock. Now, allow me to show you my collection...
I don't mind story changes, but keeping legacy characters is fine, too. Like, I really like Haramaki. CB could decide 'no more haramaki in the fluff', but still let me use them on the table just fine. Likewise a cool biker lady like Asuka.

The character thing is interesting too, it's a good opportunity for CB to rejigger a unit, or Sepsitor everyone.

It's a little work in progress, a mate gave me a bunch of Plast Craft Games' ColorED little module buildings

Wall bits are all from Knights of Dice, a cool aussie MDF site. They're 5cm tall so might use them as the base for a taller wall later.

And going to contrast those little pre-built things with these apartments.

No actual photos to show yet, waiting on walls and apartments to arrive. In the meantime I went to the local K-Mart for some cheap vehicles for scatter terrain. Definitely need to base them, get some road lines going.

I like Knight of Dice a lot but I can't justify shipping from Oz. This all looks good. Poast pics when it's done!

While we're on the topic of terrain and shipping, I've ordered from Every Little War a couple times and I really like them. Their business model is licensing designs from international designers and cutting them in the US for easier shipping. The first time the guy contacted me after my order and asked what I thought of his shop. The second had a few mistakes in it and he responded to my 9pm email in minutes saying it was his mix up, the new stuff was shipping the next day, and to keep the extras. The stock is growing slowly but you can get unique designs since it's all different designers' work.

I think I just need some to make some tarpaulins to stretch between the buildings for some more cover variety.

Oooh they've got jackal designs, they have awesome objectives and size markers.
Their site has Deathmatch rules, I think I'll throw it over to my group.

Another question from my friend (trying to get him to go ahead and sign up for SA already...): "also trying to figure out, can a g:sync troop pick up a beacon?"

Apparently a local player in his meta is adamant that g:sync troops cannot, but he wants to verify. It feels like the last question on the G:sync Infinity wiki page suggests that a g:sync troop can interact with objectives, but I'm here to double-check.

Also are people particularly picky about remote doodad attachments? I'm going to be playing with my (Haqq) remotes in a list this weekend (first tournament!). I was kinda tempted to just glue everything on for kicks since I'm not sure I'd ever need more than two chickens in a list for whatever reason.

Sure they can, if the Engineer or Doctors are allowed to pick it, then the G:Sync is still a trooper.

For people who magnetize their bases to use metal transportation, what size magnet(s) do you use?

Magnetic sheets that I cut to fit (don't cover the entire base on 40+ mm, it'll be hard to pick up the mini from the tray without breaking it)

It can help, but as with proxies most people are ok with counts-as. Just be easy on the other player if they make a call based on the visible loadouts and then rethink. I strongly recommend magnets for the various guns though.

So saying, most remote loadouts are ambiguous as gently caress, so you should be fine.

The pawsting business is tough work.
Here's what I do this when I've gotta run some potentially-confusing models.

Get yourself some of these: https://www.amazon.com/Coding-Circle-Labels-Bright-Colors/dp/B0731LNFGZ

Pair 'em, so that you've got eg a red dot on your TR bot and a blue dot on your minesweeper, and then put the same color beside the relevant entry on your courtesy list.

It's impossible for the opponent to gently caress up, and unless you get some kind of mutant hell-strength stickers, they don't mar your paints.

The Grunt Spec Ops is pretty sweet as well, but in a more routine way. White Noise is an amazing ability, I wish I could access it.

He's thinking of this excerpt from the ITS documents. G troops can raid a panoply or pick up a beacon as long as it doesn't require being a specialist. So you're both right.

I love how so many people are certain that JSA is going to be separated from Yu Jing now. Which would probably cause me to quit the game, not so much because it would affect me a huge amount(although not having onibiwans and JSA doctor when playing vanilla Yu Jing would be annoying) but because it means that CB has no problems invalidating hundreds of $ of model purchases and I have no desire to continue on a game where that can happen to your faction at any time.

At the moment I am mainly just collecting and painting models(traded some stuff for the Onyx 300pt box just because I love the models and want to paint them, don't really plan on playing them), but I do plan on going back to playing the game at some point.

If that's really the case, there is still no way of knowing if they will remove all Japanese units from the YJ list, or just make a new army with all the stuff from JSA + additional units.

Ariadna is not my faction, so this may be out of date, but in 2nd edition, there were only two ways to get a werewolf on the table. Shoot a dogboy to hulk them out into one, or bring in the Advance Deploy werewolf and his handler.

See, wolfing out required great stress, usually the result of a serious wound, but could also be triggered by fear. A particular soldier also had a profound fear of heights. Naturally, in order to properly utilize this, his CO fired him at the battle site from orbit and then jumped after.

I think it's Equipe Mirage-5?
