Luzurus definitely got a lot more interesting after that weed session with Bashio. He's got actual ambitions and interests for improving the lives of citizens in Kakin, which is more than you can say about the vast majority of the other princes. He's got far more of a brain than previously demonstrated, too. I'm rooting for him as a dark horse 'not killed off early' candidate.

He also was one of the ones with a mafia family allied with him, alongside the third and fourth princes. That seems like it should count for something. But yeah, his scene with Basho was good and made him much more interesting than he had seemed previously.

The possible effects aren't clear, if includes drugs and chemicals with magical effects (without equivalent to the real world, imagine a drug that makes you invisible) it could be very good

Momoze's death just makes him want to stop things even more. But he views the only possible way right now is to appeal to his father for things to stop as he likely does not see himself as strong enough to beat the older princes.

HxH runs in English Shonen Jump, but the volumes released in English so far end at volume 33, only covering up to chapter 350 of 374. Volume 34, containing chapters 351-360, will be released in English March 8.

Yeah, Halkenburg is extremely principled and idealistic; there is no level of innocent lives other than zero that he would consider an acceptable loss or sacrifice. To him, every dead child, if not every death in general in the game, is a failure on his part, no matter how unreasonable it actually is to blame himself. He wants to find a way to stop this altogether, not just determine how to best minimize the damage.

Jesus. I know he will never finish the series but I'm glad he has the freedom to put Gon and Killua aside and write Detective Kurapika, this poo poo is getting better and better and I love how this feels like a Battle Royale where everything matters.
