Exactly. Cat behavior is much different, and in general humans aren't very gracious towards it. We do the whole 'cats are assholes' meme bc they don't act like dogs, and we don't want to admit we're being impatient entitled jerks about having little servant creatures.

They swipe, they bite, they pounce. They get particularly enticed by small moving creatures. Introducing one as big as a large dog with the bite strength to crush a small child's skull is not a good idea.

My uncle had a leopard, but it lived in a fenced off area in his back yard. I was only a little kid at the time, but remember sticking my hand through the chainlink to scritch it on the cheek (against their instructions!) They purr, but it sounds like a propeller plane revving up on the runway.

Short, tight coats like that do well with rubber curry brushes, like the zoom groom. Get her all sudsy and scrub scrub scrub with the curry brush to get all the undercoat out then rinse. If she's really blowing coat you can have a groomer do a de-shed treatment with a forced air dryer like that husky. A regular blow dryer doesn't have enough velocity to really get the fur flying.

No shedding here yet but it's going to be ridiculous.
