Rhino, you did this to me!

Ironically I actually live just outside of a major university campus. Most of the places I look at aren't great for students since those places all have jacked up rates but still.

I live in poo poo apartments for poors and I've had 4 different property management companies in under 4 years. Only one of them let me pay online. Now I'm back to check or money order

If you want to get really scared for this country, most Americans don't even USE checkbooks anymore.

If you really REALLY want to be frightened for the future of this country, most kids don't even know how to change the ink ribbon on a typewriter! Many people don't even USE typewriters anymore!

There is nothing worse than being stuck behind an old lady in line at the grocery store who is writing a check for $4.67 for her single banana, quart of milk, box of pasta, and single cup of yogurt.

my apartment complex lets me pay rent online but I still walk the check over every month because there's like a 2% charge if you pay it online and that is not worth the lack of a two-minute walk

Same, one check a month for rent and that's it.

I feel weird even having to use cash at this point.

Most dinosaur knowledge is acquired by reading (or having read to you) books about dinosaurs, because dinosaurs are awesome. Do children in other countries not like dinosaurs?

My complex just recently allowed pay by card. It is of course more expensive so of course I just leave a check in the office's mail slot every month.

That and my electric bill are the only checks I write, ever. It seriously feels like some companies are stuck in the stone age for whatever reason. Literally everything else I can use a debit card for. The only reason I carry cash at all is because I like to have $20 to $50 on hand in case I need gas or something and my card doesn't work.

The statement I was trying to make is that a lot of kids tend to nope out on their education at around the dinosaur infatuation stage and just coast till they're 18 and get a job.

e: also my 2 year old girl is infatuated with dinosaurs and I will do nothing but reinforce it

Oh that's awesome. I've been doing the Google surveys that give you credit for the play store without a real goal in mind, I'm up to like $17 that's just sitting there. I think I've decided what to spend it on. Now the only question is which one.
