https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63635?tab=description So this mod looks really impressive, but I have a question. Will it work with Freeside Open? I know I know I was going on about how I dislike using Freeside Open earlier, but this is an experimental playthrough.

Are there any decent spawn increasing mods out for Tale of Two Wastelands? I remember reading somewhere that IWS doesn't really play nice with it.

Probably old news for a lot of you, but you can successfully kill all of the Nipton legion guys (including vulpes) without destroying your legion rep and it kind of rules.

# ? Mar 2, 2018 02:10 |

What, how? Do you aggro the legion mongrels inside the city hall and lead them outside?
|
# ? Mar 2, 2018 06:44 |
|
You can wear NCR faction armor and then kill them. I think it doesn't tank your reputation then. Conveniently, there's a dead NCR trooper in the Canyon Wreckage right outside the Divide!

Tasteful Dickpic posted:What, how? Do you aggro the legion mongrels inside the city hall and lead them outside? Roof top sniping. You hop on the roof of the house to the left of Nipton's entrance, shoot them in the head and hide up there. Vulpes takes 2 shots and a bit of waiting around for him to stop searching for you. I went and hung out in Cottonwood right after doing it.

For extra dickishness points, I assume you can then loot their bodies and sell the equipment in Cottonwood Cove. Maybe keep the dog hat as a trophy.

Does anyone know if the Armory mod listed in the first post is compatible with TTW? It doesn't seem to have a nexus page and I can't find it on google.

# ? Mar 4, 2018 03:35 |

It is. The Armory isn't on Nexus because the nexus would flip it's poo poo overit, because it's 'Mod Piracy.'

Did that updated Lombard Station with the sinks and the new rooms that was discussed a couple years ago here ever get finished? Failing that, has anyone done any interesting updates to LS lately?

I installed Nevada Skies because of this thread and I love it. Even the crazy radstorms and stuff. Sniping in really dark windy weather is dope as hell. I just wish it played better with ENB.

Coming out of my room at Novac one of my first Nevada Skies runs, the sky was literally *on fire* and I immediately climed up onto a roof to just let the game idle and do it's third-person orbit anound the player, jst so I coild watch the weather. Later, I was creeping around half-destoyed buildings in a *very* dark night, knifing people all stealthily, and *WHAM* full-on radooactive sandstorm... I need to do another FONV run sometime.

I'm running TTW for the first time and man, it's really great. Traipsing around the Capital Wasteland I picked up the dog, and I noticed that some wag renamed him "Dogemeat".

Really surprised this little mod is still talked about at all. Anyways, I made that mod when I was failing out of undergrad, 60 lbs overweight, and on the verge of a massive, 2-year depressive collapse. Glad to say that I'm much better now, dropped ~80 lbs and got my life in track, but I gave that computer to my nephews and its since been given to charity, so I don't even have a copy of that old mod anymore. I apologize from the bottom of my heart at how lovely the scripts for mod are - I really had no idea what I was doing at that time and just copy-pasting stuff and trying to get it to work while avoiding much bigger problems in my life at the time.

Yeah, it's fantastic. The only bug I've found is that the radio stations disappear if you teleport from Big MT to Lombard, and then leave through the front door.

I got no beef with Lombard. Fun little mod, breadcrumbs along the way to point you in the right direction, and it has that good as hell weapon wall.xanthan posted:I'm still not sure the entirely black mutant things in it were intended to look like that. I just don't get any of it. Railroading, no sense of story or roleplaying, ghouls that don't know they're ghouls and are at constant war with ghoul Chinamen literally just outside of Vegas, despite, eh, 200 years or so since the bombs hit? I get it, war can mess with the mind, but none of this stuff is even sensible. And if there was a sense of like, we-know-this-is-wrong, maybe that'd be okay, but it's all just written with a cudgel. The disease plot that never goes anywhere...it just sucks real bad.

Dude, Lombard Station is fantastic, and is one of my favorite mods. I spend a lot of time just chilling in there, building things making ammo, listening to the radio, cooking, all that good stuff. It's the only player home mod I use anymore. It's lore friendly, fits really well thematically, isn't overpowered or stuffed with overpowered weapons like some player homes, and is so goddamned useful. I mean there are a couple quality of life things I'd change about it, but not much. It's really good, you should be proud. As for your life stuff, congrats for being in a better place man. EDIT: Turns out it was King of Swag who was working on that updated/expanded Lombard. Shame he never finished it, 'cause it looked really cool. Lucky 38 Suite Reloaded is about as good as Lombard, and you actually need to work a bit to get it because it's in a mid-game location. It's got pretty much all the amenities of Lombard, but you can also pay for additional benefits like an Auto-Doc for plastic surgery/haircuts and a teleporter.

My guy got to spend nights out on the town gambling (he's got 9 Luck and I boost up to 10 when I gamble so I sweep the tables effortlessly) and doing all the quests for the casinos and Michael Angelo. I'd never even had the camera in my inventory before, let alone bothered talking to Michael Angelo.

SolidSnakesBandana posted:Does it have a weapon wall? No weapon wall, no sale Yes, though it doesn't work for DLC weapons for some reason and he never updated to add them. You have to buy all the upgrades, but they're not too costly (each weapon wall is something like 100 or 200 caps, and the most expensive single purchase at 1500 caps is the teleporter). The armory gets weapon walls, trunks, a reloading bench, containers for components and ammo, armor lockers, and mannequins. Also all of the crafting stations are scripted to use items in the containers next to them while keeping them in the containers, so you can just throw all your handloading stuff in boxes and go straight to the bench.

https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61501 So Hitman decided to take down his 1st Person Weapon Animation Overhaul mod with this reason given: quote:Its time to put the old girl out to pasture, there's finally a better, less buggy option by more talented animators then I ever was: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64339 I took on the task to reanimate the game and all the weapon mods I enjoyed, along with trying to work on a massive project at the same time and in the end it killed my enjoyment of the game entirely, all I could muster was this incomplete release that has, to my shame, been infesting peoples games for too long now. For a bit of closure this is the end of "Hitman's 1st Person Animation Overhaul". Thanks to all of you who have enjoyed my work over the years and apologies to everyone who I couldn't help fix problems or those who have tried to contact me regarding my FNV work only to be met with silence. Please don't try to contact me asking for a copy of this mod, I won't respond, let it die. Cheers. I mean, for one thing I understand burnout from modding, but on the other hand I disagree with purging everything as a result.
