It looks humorous and is some serious tonal whiplash after terror and vore. It might be down to how the panel showing the transformation is drawn. It's nowhere near Tom's best work and is the kind of thing I'd hope he goes back and redraws for print (has he ever done that?) because it's supposed to be a big moment and it just looks really...flat. That's my two cents.

One thing that's been a pattern with this comic is that the build-up to a dramatic moment has been pretty good, but we get to the big delivery and our reactions are just "...Oh." Also from that angle Ysote’s smirk kinda looks like he had a stroke.

God, every time I go back to look at this new goofy mixed up dog fusion I laugh. This comic makes me feel such a wide range of emotions. Like, I know this pooch has the power to kill everyone and is technically terrifying, but he's just so unexpected and doofy looking.
