These look really great, I thought your scheme was insane when you proposed it but it works.

After an entire day of backbreaking tedium, I've finished applying the basing to 2240 points of Warmaster Vampire Counts:

They're playable at this point, but I want to get the bases fully painted before Adepticon - one week remaining!

I’d like to say thanks for this thread, the feedback really keeps motivation much higher than usual.

I finished the first biker- to be honest I’m really not happy with the quality of the MK IV outrider model from FW. The resin bolters/plasma are often rippled or have marks that are impossible to remove. The marines themselves are cast too small for the bikes, and it’s a struggle to get their feet to the pedals as you can see below.

I’ve considered getting aftermarket leg sets however I don’t think there are any that are MK IV at the moment.

1 down, 14 to go...

That's the secret weapon Ash Grey

I sprinkle it over wet pigment fixer to simulate caked on ash from Armageddon, around the bottom of the tracked areas.

Back to the grind with three Plasma Inceptors. Got an hour in tonight cleaning up flashing, gluing together the arms (holy crap do these things go together well), and basically doing the boring prep that you generally have to do. I'm not sure if I'm going to do the arms separate or glued to the bodies. I'm leanings towards gluing everything given all the fiddly bits.

I’ve spent some time organizing my hobby supplies and primed and started base coats on some new death guard units I picked up for an upcoming campaign I joined

Also worked on basing the guys I’ve already painted

I'm intentionally being as verbose as possible in negotiations for my own amusement.
So I recently found my old warhams that went into storage three or four years ago. After a few impulse buys of painting supplies, I finally tried touching up the travel damage and finishing up a trio that had gone away about 3/4ths done.

I doubt I'll ever have the free time to git much gudder, but taking away the hundred defects Phone Camera adds, I'd not be ashamed to put them on the table top...

If I actually played Marines and these hadn't just been technique test models :v:

Also, the freehand is from four years ago, and I doubt I could replicate it after all the caffeine and RSI between now and then. Anyway, to phrase this on the form of a question, base flocking or sealant coat first?

I finished a sky dwarf airship!

I really, really need to go back and neaten up the highlighting at some point as well as cover some mistakes but I'm pretty happy with it all in all.

Assembled and started an arkanaut company after, hopefully will take a little less time than the ship!

After faffing about for weeks with Orlocks and getting nowhere because it turns out I don't actually enjoy playing Necromunda, I'm back on the painting train with my intercessors. Managed to get them all base-coated and now I will be working on them by two's and then the sergeant. Trying to finish up all 5 would demotivate me too much, I need more frequent bursts of progress.

Also got the head of my sergeant done and I'm pretty happy with it. Will probs leave the eyes alone.

I haven't had much time to dig into it. I got it because it has been universally praised as the best of the bunch.

Paging through it, it appears to cover lighting and color theory with relation to miniatures extensively.

Here are some sample photos of the TOC and how it's laid out. It's much more detailed than the Infinity guy's books that I have. It's a like the Citadel "How to Paint" books but way more advanced. It's big and colorful.

Some stuff I worked on in February. This isn't all of it, but I'll take photos of the other stuff later.

I worked on this terrain! This is a WIP shot. I've been adding bases to get it up to 8th edition code, and also more stained glass windows. It's done now, so final pic to come soonish.

And also I finished this guy earlier this week. He's the first of my Shadespire Ork boyz

I'm not sure what mini I'll be putting on there. I have two unpainted viking-odin looking dudes that might make the cut.

Also finished up my Malifaux Misaki model, but I need to pin her to the base and do some Vallejo water effects to her water and the base. I'll post her up when I am finished.

Managed to put away distractions and pin washed the Demolisher. This is such a good method of shading large models, if anyone is on the fence about trying it I can't recommend it enough. Just the Executioner and the Hydra left to go, then I think I'll go back with one more pass with a bunch of weathering powder. Isopropyl alcohol is the thing to use, right?
