Has either major party ever just sat one out before? Yeah, quite often. Labor regularly doesn't run candidates for byelections in safe liberal seats (eg North Sydney, Bradfield, Mayo, and Higgins). starkebn posted:But will they fit through the tunnels? This has been a problem recently. I’ve seen similar comments to this one. Does everyone truly believe the train/tunnel width issue was an unknown? In addition, there’s good reason why trains aren’t built in Australia any more. And it’s not as simple as a cost issue (although it is a factor). Most of your major worldwide control systems players have their own off-shoot or preferred companies that build their trains. The control system employed usually determines who is used to build the trains.

Hope the idiots who leaked against Bhathal are happy, because if Ged wins there's no way the Greens will be able to take it off her unless she like murders a dog in the middle of High St or something. There goes their plans of getting their preferred (white, male) candidate in lol.

I'm still extremely mad at the Greens for all the things they did to gently caress up here, but I'm not actually that unhappy with Kearney winning. She'll be a good representative, and who knows, maybe she really will bring about ~change from within~. lmao

The Greens are just going to take this as a lesson that they've shifted too far left and need to double down on responsible sensible centrism and form a government with the LNP to prove how moderate they are.

LNP is probably going to win given that the new Mount Gambier IND is a former LNP and Xenophon is a dickhead. ABC has LNP at 21 with 24 needed to form govt SAB + IND = 23 means they need to reach 22 to be able to form minority govt. Or SAB needs 1 more seat.
