Jerome Garces' refereeing is a bit bizarre (as always?). Seems to just be guessing at most decisions.

England look a more balanced side and might have some joy with that new centre partnership, but Ireland have been the pick of the bunch up front this year and won't exactly be quaking at a back row of Robson, Haskell and Simmonds. Lads any recommendations of somewhere to watch the rugby in London tomorrow? Failing that anyone have a spare ticket to Ireland vs England they want to give away?

SomeDrunkenMick posted:Lads any recommendations of somewhere to watch the rugby in London tomorrow? Failing that anyone have a spare ticket to Ireland vs England they want to give away? Famous 3 Kings is a Welsh ex-pat pub, literally next door to West Kensington station. It'll be standing room only, because the Wales game is on directly after the Ireland game, but it'll also be absolutely packed with Irish and Welsh fans, baying for English blood. If you wear an Irish shirt, and try to join a table of people that have room for one more, you'll probably have most of your drinks bought for you. Definitely stay for the Wales game as well, if you're a fan of everyone in the pub screaming the anthem at the TVs. The last time I went, they also had a live MC who would cut out the audio during large gaps in play, and lead the pub in sing-song. Of all the "themed" sports bars in the UK, it's the only one I consider "the real deal". It's 600 welsh people packed into two rooms, and they all want England to lose.

I'll be watching it in the Porterhouse by Covent Garden, a very Irish pub (owned by the people who run the same named pub in temple bar in Dublin). Other places that will be heaving green are Waxy O'Connors, Waxy's Little Sister and O'Neills all by Chinatown. O'Neills will be standing room only, waxys you'll be lucky to squeeze in. tentish klown fucked around with this message at 19:37 on Mar 16, 2018 |

Depending on where you are, The Goose in Selly Oak might still be a good shout for rugby in general, although it’ll be a mostly English crowd. Also some Irish bars in Digbeth which will probably be good fun.

Utter absurd game. Scotland are very lucky not to have lost that and it was largely die to Italy running out of steam in the final part of the game. I reckon we're being pampered at home. It's the only way to explain our dismal away performances.
