For a book with a dude named Stab, it managed to just be kinda boring.

I've been out of Warhammer for ages and I'm going to be offloading a bunch of my stuff, but first and foremost, are the books worth a goddamn? Like old army books and poo poo. I've got a huge stack of 30ish pounds of them that I want to get rid of(extras from when I ran a warhammer business).   Should I just sell'em in a big lot? What would be a good price, if so, like 100-150 for the entire stack?

Took my Tau out for their first post codex release game. I was fairly impressed by how they did although a lot of mistakes were made. Obviously it’s get your excuses in when you lost but an entirely infantry, plasma and Aggressor heavy Raven Guard Primaris list has to be almost as bad it gets for a Bork’an Tau list. As expected the Y’Vahra almost feels like cheating, the branched Nova charge strat on a Riptide is really good, as is it’s overcharged heavy burst cannon. I wasn’t over sure about the fusion heavy Ghostkeel. Nice opponent and I almost went to a win, being 12-6 up on points but being tabled in turn 5. I made some dumb mistakes like forgetting to deep strike my drones in turn one to protect the Y’Vahra, and some other positional errors, and I’m not used to having literally two handfuls of stratagems that are usable, so it was a bit overwhelming. Using the same list again against Slaaneshi list tonight so be interesting to see how it does.

While we're in audiobook chat land, is there any reason why all of Eisenhorn is available as an audiobook (and is really well narrated) but the other 'popular' series like Gaunt and Cain aren't? (barring the most recent Gaunt, which I think was)

To be fair so was Eisenhorn/Rav but a 6 book series is a hell of a lot easier to do than 15 odd books.

He seems a bit weird when he shows up in the EH books, and the reviews are mixed.

The Ravenor series has a much different feel than Eisenhorn, but it is really enjoyable. I'd say it's more investigative with some crazy set-pieces, less action-adventure than Eisenhorn. Jump over into the Black Library thread - they can help you out.

Yeah, it took me a few pages to get used to Ravenor (mainly because I just wanted more Eisenhorn) but it was smooth reading after that. It's a good book.
