Surely you reenlisted to get a cyber warfare or something else that is highly in demand and pays well. If you reupped for anything less you are the dumbest motherfucker. At least let the grind stone get you enough for a VA claim, that’s tax free!

So today we had a ”class” on DAGR. E-6 holding it said he hasnt recieved Any formal training on it But ”hosed around” with it and self-learned. Now pay in mind he is a tank commander and DAGR is part of m1 series’ c3 system. I asked If we could put waypoints in it without FBCB2. He said Nope, and showed us how to turn it on and off again and to set it in continous SV comnection and mgrs mode. After smoke break I got to play around with it and 15 mins later showed him How to set up waypoints, routes and Alerts. Without FBCB2. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TRAIN ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT USE U.S Army #enlistedtraining #ncocorpsandvalues

I have taken that class. You will not use any of the information from it. It will just cause your leadership to ask you why it isn't working and you won't know because it's almost always a connection issue or something only S6 can fix.

Everyone that took it ended up getting sent away from the line units, so nobody that actually took the class ended up in a position to use that “training” and nobody actually using the system had been trained on it. USARAK (at least 1/25) had to be one of the most comically mismanaged major commands in the army.

Bell_ posted:IDGI. I treasured mine, and beyond signing pass requests and shielding them from as much bullshit as I could get away with the best thing I could do was encourage them to go to SFL-TAP and virtually every career fair on their way to a better future. Yeah, smart soldiers are pretty great to have unless they're also much more malcontent than the average soldier, in which case they can be either a massive pain in the rear end or legit dangerous. We had one exceptionally good paralegal with an insane workload who was just the best, and the question from everyone from company commanders and first sergeants to BDE or garrison O-6s was "When are you either becoming a JAG officer or exiting to do private law?" She got asked this enough that she had the date she was eligible to start either transition memorized. I routinely had the same line of questioning for a really, really good E-4 signal soldier who'd basically hosed off and gotten high for two years in college before joining the military out of desperation. He was confident the military had motivated him not to gently caress up college on the second go-around once he ETS'd, having used his bonus to wipe out his college debt and with a GI Bill.

I also was reprimanded for putting up alerts for hostile camels constantly. I didn’t remember a loving thing. Edit: pulled for work. Not kicked out.

Being the smart one gets you put in operations, where you will be surrounded with 90% total fuckups that are sent there, and work twice as hard because if you gently caress up your job the entire unit can grind to a halt. Why yes, that's what happened to me.
