I literally just painted up some Odalisques this month for such a purpose. I'm a terrible painter so they suck, but all you'd really need to do is figure out a JSA-appropriate color scheme, then draw some hexes and robo-face-panel lines in with a finepoint marker. And yeah, the thread title isn't so great for a couple of reasons. It'd be swell if it got changed to something.

Played my first game of infinity ever since that tournament that I really did not have fun at. Was just a small 150 pt game against someone who was trying out Ikari company. I played Vanilla nomads. I'm not sure where the scenario was from, it wasn't an ITS scenario but was the final one in a series of scenarios from a book(maybe uprising?) where you have to control the doors on 4 buildings and the guy in the middle. Was a fun game against someone who has about as much experience with the game as I do. He went first and moved up aggressively to grab a couple doors turn 1, but I think made a mistake in that he hid all of his units instead of putting them in defensive positions to prevent me from moving up. As a result I moved up my army(Intruder, Interventor Lt, 2 Alguiciles, 1 Alguicile para, 2 jaguars, and a spitfire tskylon) into defensive positions in supression fire so that his units had no way out of their hiding places, and used my interventor to pop the head of his only hacker. He couldn't really do much on his 2nd turn, cautious moving some models around and trying to move up his ninja who had failed his infiltration roll, but that ended up getting discovered by my Tskylon who was on top of a building. Turn 2 I started moving my 2 specialists into position to press door buttons and took out a couple more units, leaving just his Lt and 2 Wu Ming. His Turn 3 he continued to not really being able to do anything, moving his Wu Ming to prevent me from taking the point from controlling the guy in the middle of the board but that was it. My turn I pressed 3 buttons and also used spotlight on a wu ming to fulfill my classified, giving me a 4-2 victory.

My friend is playing Combine Army. He wants Xeodron Batroids pilots, called STALDRON Remote Ancillary Units. Is the only way to buy them in the Avatar box? It doesn't look like you get one in the Xeodron box. Is there a way to get the pilot without buying the Avatar box (he'd rather not)? He needs two.

Unfortunately, no, you can't buy it outside of the new Avatar box. One pilot is all you'll ever need and if he's playing CA I guess the Avatar is a bit inevitable? It a poo poo situation for Onyx players though, I'd just proxy it.

You don't really need them. I've never seen a remote pilot dismount and the likelihood you'll have two out at once is incredibly small.

Sure, but treat these as a cautionary tale as to what not to do, rather than an example of a successful product.  I like the Odalisques for this in particular because they've got a lot of cruft around their joints, so if you're better than I am with a pen or a brush, you can make them look pretty robotic. They've also all got a huge gauntlet thing on their right arms, which is prime robot territory. Very, very strongly consider something aside from white for the skin parts. It looks bad without being sufficiently alien. I'm contemplating giving these a really thin blue or purple wash.
