Also "Protected" grants immunity to damage but not CC like stuns or silences, while Maiev's Vault is straight up immunity to everything, and yeah, she also gets it from level 1.

worse in terms of unfair? the rest of her abilities are crazy

worse in terms of not as good? parry lasts longer and has a shorter cooldown but people seem to be preferring warbringer now anyways

Genji is really fun to play though. Also rarely see any Genjis anymore. Tracers though, so many.

Junkrat was saved by two things:

1.) Having an appropriately low health pool for his kit
2.) His escape is the same ability as his strogest offensive tool that you have to use aggressively to get value out of him

So he has to expose himself to danger to do things unlike tracer (recall) and hanzo (jump), who never have to use their escapes offensively.

Finished up my TL placements (placed like Bronze 5 last season, placed Silver 2 and ranked up to Silver 1 this season, yay moving up) yesterday and faced probably the worst Aba player I've ever seen. He'd queued with a Butcher so figured ok Butch Hat will be annoying.

In draft we had first pick and the enemy team banned Chromie instead of Fenix so I got Fenix.

At the start of the match (Towers of Doom) I'm up in top lane against Butcher. I see Abathur just slide into a bush up top.

I figure...ok...gotta be a trap. Like the whole enemy team will be in that bush.

Enemy team shows mid and bot; I go into the bush and kill Abathur. Their Butcher just keeps clearing the wave until Abby is dead then charges me, kill him too.

For the rest of the match the Abathur would burrow in and JOIN TEAMFIGHTS. Dude was slapping for all his life.

When he wasn't teamfighting he'd just sit in view in front of his towers so i'd just beam-ult him.

I don't think he'd ever played Abathur before.

Specialist is for people like me, a specialist main. Yeah sure I'm a little against the grain, a sort of a rebel as it were. No, I will NOT join your teamfights but I WILL win you the game.

Assassin is for try hard losers who don't get its all about the macro.

Shibawanko

I'm also a specialist man. Something about going out on your own sometimes to take down an unguarded fort or a bunch of merc camps quickly suits me.

I had a funny game on warheads map where somebody'd left a warhead way back on the map while my team was diving to one of the keeps. Enemy Abathur burrowed to the distant nuke to nab it while nobody was paying attention but our fenix blasted him from across the map.

The only thing I hate more than hippie neo-liberal fascists and anarchists are the hypocrite fat cat suits they grow up to become.
If you want to PvE, do camps and stuff, don't "main specialist". Play solo lane Heroes and learn that role. Win the lane, get a quick camp and then go help your team gank or get the objective while the camp does tower damage or requires one of their dudes to stay behind and clear it.

But I also like to only play as heroes like Abathur and Murky that can't do things a normal hero does and then sanctimoniously instruct my teammates about how to play their normal heroes.

Nothing about Junkrat is really all that "special" in the specialist sense, he's just a damage dealer with long-range AoE poke. His most unique thing is being able to stick traps on the map that can't be attacked and don't expire.

I had an, um, interesting graphics issue last game:

It was quite annoying. Besides the obvious, it wouldn't grey out abilities which were on CD, the only part of Flamestrike I could see was the perimeter, and I couldn't see Twisting Nether at all :rip:

Trying an AI game didn't fix it:

But restarting the client did. :iiam:

I'm not saying it's completely impossible but it would require some kind of absolutely insane versioning scheme.

As someone else said, it's Blizzard. Starcraft II uses the same scheme to make its replays backwards compatible, but there's not nearly as much garbage data to sift through because SCII very rarely introduces new abilities/units/soundsets/textures/ect.

I've never felt as useless as when playing Zeratul. How does this guy work? I've tried several builds, focusing on the squishies and trying to burst them down and blink away, but I just invariably get locked down with CC immediately and die. I've played like 5 QP games hoping I'd get better, but it always ends with me dying 8 times, usually maybe 2 kills and poo poo damage.

Go to McIntyre's youtube and search for Zeratul. He has some great post-rework videos.

Before 10:
The safest place for you to engage is on rotation between lanes or objectives, far away from lane / towers and hopefully their allies are distracted.

The second safest place is on merc camps early game, where Greymane or someone disappeared from minimap so you know they're alone and already taking damage.

The third is when they are overextended. Tell your allies to let them push lane, then come around behind.

After 10:
Your enemies will be grouped. If they're not, keep on using strategies above. If they are grouped, flank but don't engage until they use CC on your team's front line, then go ham.

Zeratul can chunk, but rarely can he 100-0. It's better to do less damage and leave before taking any than to trade HP.

The easiest and safest way to play him for team fights is to go full cleave with wormhole and just e in, q, then e out to chunk the enemy team.
