Disco kind of has a point though. Cody's response was flat out homicide but seems overkill. Did he call Cody out directly or something?

Never mind - apparently Disco was responding to pics of Cody being busted open.

Disco also used to say belts and championships in wrestling were pointless because the business is fake anyway. Then Raven wrote an entire article calling him a doofus.

She's drawn zero dollars, I doubt any fan has left a show thinking about her and she only gets booked because of who she's married to. The only thing Cody said that doesn't apply to her is she's not "juiced up".

She's pretty much the female version of Mike Kanellis except he can actually wrestle.

He didn’t have a point anyway because even if he were talking about Ospreay and Scurll, the idea that either guy can’t work and just wants Meltzer praise is hilarious considering they’ve worked just as hard in front of 200 people with no expectation of anyone outside of that building seeing the match.

Disco is a loving moron.

Well in that case, she should probably stop posting about how she understands wrestling psychology better than anybody working today, and quit it with her frequent condescending asides about the nature of the business today!

This is purely my own opinion and shouldn't be considered objective truth, but I watched wrestling back then and he loving sucked.

Most of the good things I've heard written about him (like the whole "checking an instruction sheet while doing a submission move" stuff) actually sounds clever or good on paper, but seeing it in action live it was executed painfully badly and he completely failed to make any of it work. Cody's takedown of him was pretty relentless cruel but it was also extremely on-point and accurate.

It's also a rebuttal. It's not like he sought out Disco to bully him, Disco opened his big dumb mouth and got sonned like he does every time he engages someone in the business with genuine skill and savvy. I know Cody isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he's really done well for himself since leaving WWE, and a good chunk of that is because Cody made good choices.

I remember always hating Disco because he was so "cringy" before cringy was a thing. Thats more than I can say for 99% of the current WWE roster. He is the Fashion Police of yester year without the humor.

Ric Flair once tricked me into thinking Disco Inferno could be a good wrestler when he really tried because of some throwaway match between the two on Nitro or Thunder. That's my only good memory of Disco Inferno, thank you for reading.

Wait, it's that, and the time Lance Storm and Konnan invited him on to a podcast to dunk on him for 20 minutes.

Yeah if I recall correctly Disco was a bigger ratings mover than some upper card dudes. I’m sure the actual numbers were in the Observer.
