Remember when all the people in Madison protested against Scott Walker, singing songs, holding up signs with cool memes and sick burns on them? This is about as effective.

it would be kinda funny if democrats took a page out of the republican playbook for dealing with abortion and just passed laws banning guns faster than the supreme court can over turn them.

SimonCat posted:A standing army is provided for in the Constitution. You just have to re-fund the Army every 2 years. It's not unconstitutional, but not explicitly a standing army, no. The constitution says congress will maintain a navy. It will raise and support armies. It sure looks like the initial idea was not having big standing armies on a permanent basis, but that rapidly went away in practice.

That was the original idea. States wanted their own private armies because they didn’t trust each other but the militias got their asses kicked over and over so were quickly swept to the dustbin of history.

They don't understand the social contract and tend to act irrationally when confronted by agents of the state.

Motherfucker posted:hi long time lurker first time poster, why do you guys shoot dogs all the time? Because, just like anyrhing else that hates dogs, cops are evil Also dog shooters aren't people so I'm assuming that a cop's humanity goes away when the uniform is put on and *maybe* comes back when they're off-duty
