I was convinced that Teddy was playing a prank on Darius the entire time and there was no brother right up until the end. Awesome episode, if a little depressing.

I thought this was one of the worst episodes so far, but I have to admit the intercom voice recorder thing was hilarious.

Even given the broad spectrum of what Atlanta can be from week to week, it didn't feel very much like an Atlanta episode, but whatever it was it was very well done.

That was a strange episode, but I still enjoyed it. I really like how each episode goes in completely different directions and you can't nail it down to a single "This is Atlanta." The only thing that really remains constant is the main characters.

I don't know, I've been wondering about that too. It's a little strange that we never actually get a picture or old movie of Teddy and Benny together and it makes a sort of sense. Although I might have just been on the Atlanta subreddit for too long. There are people there treating it like Lost. Not necessarily wrong, just a little surprising to see.

My takeaway was that Teddy idolized his father, and after he died he started abusing Benny like his father did. That, or he just got tired of taking care of him and decided to beat him to death at the piano as evidenced by the blood on the keys. He was going to blame the beating on Darius, hence the line about the fire poker making it look like a home invasion, but was surprised to see Benny was alive when he came out of the elevator. Or spudsbuckley posted:Think you might be reading a bit too much into it.

The barbershop episode was one of the best if not the best of the entire show. I haven't rewatched season 1 since it aired though. The Teddy episode was another episode of the show.

Seems like a real stupid reach. That Darius didn't have his hands up during that photo was an allusion to some film, but I couldn't immediately place it.

I'm not sure that any reading of who was who is appropriate. It's a self contained story, and it's not about who is michael jackson and who stole whose identity. It's a little story about people and how their lives effect them.

It is what it is. Good writing doesn't need a bunch of retarded fan theories and "well actually, what they meant was........" around it. You've failed once that poo poo starts creeping in. It adds absolutely nothing and if you encourage it you are just a bad, lazy writer because a billion other dipshits have done that bit before.

I have no idea what this show even is anymore. Not that I'm complaining. Carry on Donald, I'll watch. The last two episodes are just great to spend time with Darius and Paper Boi, fleshing out the characters more. I mean you could go the traditional route and have them hang out solo with our supposed main character but hell, why not do some intensely weird poo poo with it (or have one get a hair cut).
