So the new game is called Sekaiju no Meikyu Cross (Etrian Odyssey Cross) and has like every class ever. Also Shilleka, Edie, and Wiglaf. Also it runs on the EO5 engine and has the character customization from that game. Also it takes place in the sky. Also one of the characters was using Force Boost/Force Break.

It looks like it doesn't have the 5 classes which would make sense with them being pretty different in execution thanks to the race and specialty stuff. But yeah this looks like the 3DS celebration game thet said it was gonna be, so it is gonna be pretty crazy to see how all of these things are balanced (probably not balanced).

I seriously cannot express in words how god drat happy I am that I'll be able to play a new Etrian with my homeslices the EO4 LS and Fort. This is flat-out everything I wanted from the last EO game on 3DS. God I hope we don't have a long wait for the US release.

If it's every class I feel like the first five hours of the game will just be me stuck in the guild trying to make the perfect party composition and I have no idea why I'm looking so forward to that but I'm hype as gently caress

No Necromancer makes me sad but Cestus is in so all is good. I guess they're not including the summon-based classes like Wildling and Dragoon since there's already a big pile of class mechanics they need to manage I have a feeling the Ninja subclass is gonna give way to some broken-rear end combos

I'm kind of bummed about no Forts, at least at launch, but I can sort of understand it. Though at the same time, what the hell, that's like one tank and how many damage dealers? Also yeah rip Fencer and Buc, I guess. Poor Fencer gets excluded when literally every other mainline mascot is in.

EO5's mechanics are being used (Stats caps of 255, and TEC being split into INT and WIS). Also, Force Boosts and Breaks are back. Along with subclassing.
