How much of that is attributable to Islam and how much of that is regional and development based. Would you argue that Judaism is a destructive religion based on the actions of the one Jewish state?

Amnesty has 12/20 of the worst regimes for human rights abuses as various sects of Islam. 4 are Christian (Catholic and other, but mainly Catholic I think), 2 are commies, 1 is multi-denominational and 1 is Yugoslavia (I have no loving idea who the powerful people are in Yugoslavia these days).

e This is off the top of my head but I'm correct. If anyone knows where Yugoslavia sits that'd be nice.

I think we may be talking past each other because this is mostly what I think as well. Which is why it frustrates me when people talk about "religions" as some kind of driving force behind actions, when mostly they're used as a smokescreen justification.

Speaking of poo poo takes, this is disingenuous tripe

Maybe she simply made a mistake with her visa? Perhaps she has experiences of being treated with suspicion at international airports, combined with the current political atmosphere in the US, which caused her to jump to a conclusion about why she was being held up.

Now this is some loving disingenuous tripe. Any speaking engagement like this provides a guide for entry and international guest directions. It is also her job to deliver hot takes and should have, in her own interest, secured the correct visa to enter the US. I nearly got knocked back once because I had seven of the same tshirt in my bag as gifts and they though I was promoting Australian sports.

Even if she was doing it for free, it is her job to write editorials and appear in front of people. You need a working visa to promote your business in the US even if it doesn't make you any money while you are there.

Also I was let in after the confusion. It is demonstrating that they are all over people coming in on tourist visas to do work.

I read that as for sitting in the audience at conferences, not being paid to present at them. Maybe a type O or P visa would be more appropriate for that

This is ridiculous. If you are traveling internationally to get paid you require a temporary working visa. The B1 and B2 are different visas as well. If her visa was as a B-2 tourist she is wrong and if the visa was to conduct business she is wrong as that extends only to:

Business (B-1)
Consult with business associates
Attend a scientific, educational, professional, or business convention or conference
Settle an estate
Negotiate a contract

Idk, I googled the phrase "which us visa do I need " and they literally had a wizard that I could use to find the right one so who knows

of course, but for her specific situation, it seems like there is in fact a grey area. some people are let in under the VWP, some aren't. , some under a b1-b2 visa (incorrectly if they are being paid), some aren't. and the O and P type visas seem pretty discretionary?
