I for one am shocked that someone would get sick after being in the same building as Joey Janela.

Somehow got need-to-stay-quarantined real sick, mentioned it at least on the sports car podcast.

One of us needs to send that question in for next week’s IndyCar podcast though. I’ll try to.

Guys are still complaining about how slippery the track is even after the IMSA race.

Tomorrow's gonna be fun.

When I said broadcast I meant on the TV, not calling the race. Diffey just talked to him for a couple of minutes then plugged his new book.

Just watched the replay of RHR's penalty. He found the one case where the intent of the rule and letter of the rule are at odds. He kept the right side of the car well over the line, but cut the nose across the very end of the line and got his transponder caught as a result.

If he'd turned a foot later, he would've been fine.

Maybe Indycar/Long Beach should have just spent the extra $30 and had the transponder line extend that extra 6 inches or whatever. :(

The problem is letter vs spirit is what lead to the rule in the first place. The stewards made it abundantly clear that if you cross the line before you should, you're in trouble. No more wishy-washy stuff.

I agree, it's just a case of something that would have been a non call before they switched to using the transponders instead of just the officials.

As much as he complained that it didn't give him any advantage, he was also really dumb for cutting it that close for no good reason.

RHR is a crybaby and has no ground to stand on. The transponder and that line are the same thing as last year so he should know better

I love how many people on racer are complaining that it's okay for Pagenaud to do it, while forgetting that was the whole reason for the transponder based system.

IMSA GT powerhouse Scuderia Corsa is laying the groundwork to turn its upcoming Indy 500 debut into a full-time IndyCar program.

The Las Vegas-based team is partnering with Rahal Letterman Lanigan to field an Indy 500 entry for Oriol Servia next month, and team owner Giacomo Mattioli told RACER that he is approaching the event as a first step toward a permanent IndyCar presence.

I didn't know they were based out of Vegas, wow.
