LOL @ Morgan being so annoyed by Rick and everyone pestering him at The Dump that as soon as his laundry was done drying he bailed.

I'd ask why Jesus does out of character moment of supporting Maggie's plan to muder Negan, THAT'S OUR WALKING DEAD! :haw:

Anybody else seeing some possible homages to Timothy Olyphant with Dillahunt's gunslinger? He worked wth him on Deadwood, and that hat reminds me of the Boon hat Raylan closed out the show with (which was also the type of hat Elemore Leonard actually envisioned Raylan as wearing in the books).

Enjoy your cracked out Morgan visions, FTWD watchers.

I'm disappointed that we still got no answers as to what the helicopter is for, what Jadis Anne's deal is and what aliens the junkyard is obviously housing. Also yet another Lucille getting used fakeout.

The ending scene randomly and ominously setting up Maggie as a supervillain was :psyduck:

I overall liked this season finale much more than the last probably 3 seasons. It was nice and simple, didn't feel overlong and set up a new direction for the show. So god help me I guess I'll be back for the next season.

Also it's one of the few shows still shot on film and I do enjoy it's look because of it.

Or do you mean Jimmy?

Raising Hope is criminally underrated and I think it's still on Netflix and it's way better than the Walking Dead.

It's Burt/Garrett Dillahunt. He's playing a gunslinger who doesn't like to kill.

I hope he lasts the season.

All of the sabotaged bullets going off at once was so god drat ridiculous and made so no sense but that's TWD summed up.

At least Negan didn't die but that throat slit actually surprised me. His interactions with everyone is about the only thing to look forward to.

drat, Fear managed to make an episode of Morgan and Cromartie wandering around getting into wasteland adventures interesting, TWD sure never did that!

And Goddamn, so gently caress YES that the Clark family did what I thought and joined up with the rear end in a top hat bikers. 5-star for that and the Mad Max truck.

Yes, that is correct. But don't take that as a knock against the show.

All the people that ambushed the characters at the end are the principle cast of Fear.

The episode was well constructed and makes a good hook for TWD fans to make the leap to Fear. I could see someone binge watching the series after that episode

Also the Maggie change makes no fuckin sense

They need to do something to drive these changes, the reasoning they used is dumb. Especially since Darryl just let Dwight go.

I thought Maggie and Darryl's motivation mostly could be made sense of through their losses and travails of the past 3 seasons but Jesus being in on it makes no sense to me. "You don't have to kill anymore, Morgan. Except Negan, you gotta kill Negan, Morgan."

Well yeah, but between then and near the end of the season Tara was the one hating him and Daryl was the one defending him as helpful and stuff.

Rick sentences Negan to life, but Maggie has more of a claim on his punishment (Not to mention the Kingdom folk)
Daryl sentences Dwight, but Tara has more a claim on his punishment

Basically the show is saying to just let the men folk make the decisions. Carol should have been passing judgement and carrying out sentences.

They allowed ALL of the saviors that came to ambush them to live. After having just massacred the "roadblock" group entirely. Allowed them to go back to their villages and hit the reset button where all live in harmony, so what is the point of allowing Negan to live?

I had to laugh when Rick ran straight up to the tree where a guy with a spiked bat was clearly waiting. Was it unclear which tree with stained glass hanging from it in the middle of a field the bad bat guy was hiding behind?

Everyone was just standing nearby in the field while Rick and Batman fought. Why wouldn't Maggie have walked up and put a bullet or 30 into Negan?

The show wants to eat its cake and have it, too: Rick is both evil and good. Yin and Yang. He is all things to all peoples. He can both kill Negan with righteous vengeance and save his life with graceful mercy. Such is the Way or Rick. It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to be in the script.

Huh, haven’t watched it yet, but I was reading an article about the finale and the guy threw in some random tidbits following the write up

The kid that plays Henry is actually the younger brother of the girl that played Sophia. No wonder they’re so piss poor at hiding under trees and following directions. Carol just can’t win.

E: sounds like some of my goofy predictions actually happened. But seriously none of Rick’s redshirts died?!
